I admire this woman not for her insights but for her actions, in particular refusing to join the Israeli army. Jails are not harsh for Jewish people in Israel, nothing like the hell holes in America. Easy solution: admit Israel is a failed experiment and disband it. They had 75 years to learn to live in peace with their neighbours but was too busy assassinating the people they didn't like, sanctioning and meddling in their neighbours politics to deserve any more chances. Anyone who moved there since 1948 is an immigrant - not a native. They should be funded to go back or to whichever country they want who will take them.

Yet obviously the move to the right has led to more oppression and suppression. In fact, I wonder if you would be interested in applying your set of standards to the best Palestinian universities the west bank? --Al-Quds University, or Syria? --Damascus University , or Yemen? --Al-Razi University, or Saudi Arabia? --King AbdulAziz University, etc. etc. Do you think these universities, in contrast to of course Hebrew University, Tel Aviv U and the Weizmann, are bastions of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (a Western notion)?
