Lenny is one of my all-time favorite singers.
🔥Here We Go💯‼️💃💃🎤🎺🎸🎷🥁Hell YESSSS ‼️ Horns Masterpiece
One of the smoothest R&B songs of all time.
the song was written in 1972 and I heard it the first time in 2012. I live in germany. incomprehensible !
MAN what a voice this band was so tight LOVE this stuf
No one, and I mean NO ONE can match Tower of Power's horn section. From stage to studio, Castillo and Company have no peers. One word describes them other than pure talent and that is T-I-G-H-T!
Love this band and Lenny
Dude, agreed. I was in one in the San Jose Bay Area in the mid 70s that did T.O.P. tunes... it was the best youthful gig in my life...!!!
When I die and go to heaven I wanna see these guy's just inside the gates kickin'this beautiful tune out to me...
This is the very best lineup in the history of T.O.P. One of their very best songs too. Garibaldi and Prestia rule. C. T.'s part on B-3 has never been even closely matched; and is sorely missed by this fan. Thanks for this.
I think I'm still in Love with Lenny
This band was tight!! I love Lenny’s singing style as well.
Thanks for sharing this version. Man, that’s one of the tightest bands of all time.
Yeah, this is when music was music. Yeah , I know I sound just like my parents by saying this but I just can't help it. This song makes me long for another time and place. And look at that crowd........groovy....ha ha thanks for the vid
Beautiful song!
GREAT SINGER: Lenny Williams kicks ass!!!!
Wow!! I remember hearing this song but never even paid attention to Tower of Power, really enjoying this video, thanks for waking me up to this :)
Very nice song ! Nice singer perfomance. One of the two only american songs that appear in brazilian City of God film, not by chance, but for beauty and profisionalism.
The baritone sax adds body to the brass sound.
Pure Class!
A classic
Saw TOP Hawaii mid 70’s. And a bunch of times since then. Many singers for TOP over the years. A couple of really good ones but can’t touch Lenny. 🌴😎🌈Aloha 🤙🏼
caught Lenny's band back in '78 at The Old Waldork in San Francisco. My friend and I took dozens of Photos and slides. We'll be posting on Flikr & Photobucket soon. Just Google Lenny Williams. They should all be posted by early August 2011.
Awesome!!!
Get ready Central California. Lenny's coming. And he's going to have some other terrific bands on the bill with him.
i don't think the crowd is that subdued considering this performance is probably right after they released ToP...so the song was new to the audience. sure, people go crazy now because this is one of ToP's signature songs, 35 years later. agreed that they're still amazing though :)
I fail to see why this one reached #10 or better on lists while What is Hip? only reached like 90 at best. Trying to learn the bassline at last mentioned song and it's sick :D Really worth watching, the whole arrangement on that song is awesome!

Bruce Conte's guitar fill licks are classic! I'm fooling around wit them now as a matter of fact....
Words cant describe, all in their 20s
I wish I could find Doin' Alright
The old crew...
The difference between then and now is when they play this song the crowd goes ballistic. seems like the crowd wasn't feelin the jam or maybe the ushers were reallly strict? Tower is still the baddest band in the land.

I was wondering where the energy was. It pretty quiet.
Those white girls in the audience looking like damn, I don't know why I like this. I just do lol. This is one of my all time favorite songs!
