CN players are way happier with the game than the global. Hotta always reacts to player feedback really fast. The Global team just doesn't care about it. It's not their game. They just take money from it as long as they can.

Remember, majority of players are PC (steam, midabuy, or TOF client) not mobile. So using only mobile revenue is not a good metric. But from what ive seen in investor reports, TOF is doing very well and made over 6-7 Million last month and have the funds to expand to Playstation audience.

you'd be surprised how hard mobile revenue carries in every gacha. even the ones where you think "nobody plays this on mobile, who tf would play this on a phone?" make most of the games money. kinda hard to believe this game happens to magically be the one thats any different. regardless tho, the game still consistently makes less and less money monthly so something needs to be addressed before we end up like the priconne players

@@myob2dac the problem with that kind of thinking is Tower of fantasy does encourage player to purchase stuff through midasbuy which is not tracked properly (basically 3rd party website with plenty of discount and bonuses) On sea region theyre losing plenty of player for the device issue as well, along with the faster updates My entire old crew dropped the game after the 30gb update and stuff like its heavier on most device sea region player use (phone, we dont own console most of the times) So it will bring back na/eu player back i assume Honestly they just need to fix the social aspect of the game (Im looking at atrocious chat system)

@@myob2dac I highly doubt that mobile revenue would carry a game with this high graphics and storage requirement. Yes, this is a gacha game but also remember that this is MMORPG. I myself, play on PC and have seen mobile players quit due to system requirements over time. Also even if the mobile revenue went down, they are still earning millions, yes it's not Hoyoverse level of success. But TOF is still within the Top 50 games in terms of revenue since release. So I don't see why people are itching to get rid of this game, when it's definitely here to stay.

8:31 I agree on that. Of course a character being strong is important but it would be amazing if they can supportive weapons that can even greatly improve standard weapons. I also think the characters are really great with their personalities and design. The little messages sent by the characters really do add to that feel like their alive and sending messages somewhere. What we need to see is characters interacting without something serious happening. Like maybe at a parade or something. Like for example Garnett’s little PV was so amazing to me as it reminded me of my relationship with my sibling and it was nice to see how hard she works and how much she wants to improve. There was no gray space entities the whole time too. But as well keep the way the characters are in fight scenes or serious situations. I really do love the constant planning. It really feels like I’m part of the world whenever I hear them having a discussion and I listen very attentively. We also need to go back to previous worlds once a while too. I do enjoy the stories

Same. ToF is my main but I have no problem playing for 10 minutes and then dipping. I actually think ToF needs to nudge itself towards these type of games .. like PGR, Aether etc. I love the environments and such but the scope is too big imo. Smaller focused environments and more emphasis on dynamic team fight

The reason I don’t think this is right move for ToF is this: it’s not good enough at solving the issue’s it has now, throw PS4 and PS5 into the mix and now the devs are stretched too thin. This could be the nail in the coffin imo

@@olafshouse Do you think playstation would release TOF if they were not doing well? Also what we see on the net is just mobile revenue not even including PC revenue. Mobile revenue will always be lower since the game, at a certain period of time, would require more storage space and better graphics, its honestly normal for mobile revenue to go down. Going back to Playstation, I highly doubt that they would release a game on their platform if the devs did not prepare for it. Well only time would tell. Better to wait for the release and see how it goes.

Mentor system isn't that great. But it's something. Yes numbers are just mobile but investor docs show a walling line as well. I'm not concerned with the CN revenue

There's only one way to find out how much money this game has earned - refer to official financial report of the company...which they will show it to their investors Based on Perfect World games financial report, this game is actually still performing pretty well, regardless of CN or global ver...considering this game always has low budget for game developments, & it still brought in lot of profits to the company, their management is actually happy with the results.. Lastly, according to certain investor, they said that PW company will continue to support this game & trying more new game elements in this game for their future game projects, so we should expecting more new stuff in the future updates of TOF... Anyway, CN TOF will stay alive for the time being...not sure for global ver as tencent/level infinite may give up on this game for whatever reason....

@@KyriosYuudai As far as i know, their revenue flow has been going up & down, usually going up when big update such as 2.0 & 3.0 release..but back to average level for the rest of time..But yea, there's no need to worry about CN ver as TOF is one of PW's top priority game right now, just hope that global ver stay alive as long as it could

what I want to know is if anything was explicitly said deconfirming the chance it could come to Xbox. As a Xbox player, I have been dying to play anime style games and these MMOs look fun. Apparently some new stuff will be announced june11th for Xbox, maybe if nothing has been said yet there is a chance something will be announced there? I dont know, I'm really holding out hope as things aren't looking too good on Xbox for me atm. A grindy game like ToF would be just what I need to take up my spare time.

@@KyriosYuudai The game is an example of “amazing concept, terrible execution” The creative elements are amazing. The maps are beautiful and they’re massive for mobile standards. The character designs/animations are very good in their own right. Music is good too and while story can be improved, it’s decent in it’s own right. Not to mention the level of permanent content is very good for Gacha standards. It’s only cons can be blamed on technical related issues such as power balancing, lack of polish/optimization (mobile port is absolute hell) and while the content is numerous, most of it is bugged, lacking in rewards or is downright boring to play. It’s a case of “quantity over quality” basically. The game doesn’t deserve the hate it got tbh, it’s in DIRE need of a budget upgrade and a better development schedule. I’ve been craving for an SAO type anime MMO and I hoped ToF would be it (and I still do, especially now that Blue Protocol had been delayed to next year) so I will be sticking by this game until the end.

Played at start of Global, till mid of Frigg banner? Then left. Returned in end of April and have a blast with game for entire month. Didn't have much trouble "catching" up. Okay my CS is just 81k now, still a lot of work to do on that front. But didn't have trouble playing game with outdated comp and low CS before they bringed WL thing, with it thing are really easy and fast. Overall, in my opinion, this return is way more enjoyable, then when I returned in G-game to check 2.0 and 3.0 stuff. Currently in ToF 3.0 waiting room. Hope they fix issues what they have and new players will flow. No collab with Sony is sad, but still hopes for bunch of new players.

You showed the mobile revenue of the game while knowing even yourself you spend and almost i think 90% of the players who spend on pc either steam or midasbuy because way better deals with freebies. So that number you showed 1.7 million is for mobile in fiona update Ive asked a while back in your stream if you spend on mobile you said you spend on pc, and almost all in the chat has the same mindset to spend on pc rather than mobile. Ive asked this on multiply tof streamer and there community and i can say 90% of the player base spend on pc because of better deals and they play on pc. I dont get this notion about the game might be dead. No population. No content because all of that aint true, i know tof is genshin in terms of revenue but theres no fucking way tof earning 1.7million a month while i am seeing 70% have fiona. And its not a dead game like any negative doomposter cc on tof they just release on epic game store, release on ps4 and ps5. Business wise i will expand and add brances if my business is doing good not the other way around. Simply logic. So to the folks who wants to try the game try it. Dont let anyone say this and that before even trying the game. Tof for me is genshin like mmorpg with contents that are hard and more generous tof have balanced pvp,8v8 pvp and a battle royale mode. @@KyriosYuudai i dont know if its true, you know yourself more than i do but base on what ive experience and what ive see ive watched more than 15-20 livestream you do for tof maybe around close to 100 hours ive never seen you play tof on mobile.

I'm more worried about censorship than state of the game itself given Sony's track records of continuously censoring anime games. I have no complain if the censorship is strictly exclusive to PS only, but it still gives the tendency of unifying single version to save manpower cost in the future. 3.0 will be my reaching point of whether continue spending money or even playing the game depending on whether CN censorship gets bring forward to global. I cannot shake the feeling of censorship in CN and PS announcement is not coincidence. Edit: Someone here mentioned its release date being the same as 3.0 so my instinct tells me it's relatable to censorship and possibly coming to global.

People, Dont forget to queue for support match when the console version launch! for us those level are easy af but they literally can't do it alone.. Having said that, since this version is published by perfect world I kinda have the feeling they will be using other servers and man, that will be a fatal mistake. We can just declare it as dead on arrival if that happens. I love this game but I don't think tencent, perfect world or hotta knows how to actually manage the game. 😢

they should add ffxiv like dailies that also helps new players, which can be optional or better modify the current system a bit to cater more.

if they really want to get a good revenue it's much better to offer affordable and better deals in their shops. make their maps alive, give purpose to the mobs around each maps so people will want to hunt. if the mobs in maps can drop vera coins as an example.

@@jinsoju to me tof is still my best anime mmo. the problem they have is player retention. time gating progression is the worst thing that they can do for an mmo since mmo players play for hours a lot. if they can just have atleast progression item drops from mobs from aesperia to other maps that will be awesome.

As much as I like ToF, and im still playing it... But having a good crew is mostly the reason why for me.. The powercreep is pretty much whats killing the game really. Its a greedy outlook to make money. Making money by being greedy and theres making money by being genuine.. They are the forma. And Kyrious hit the other issue on the head. New player experience is shit. Had a few new players comin into the crew, and they are so behind, time gated on content, and Time gated on collecting mats to catch up. And they have strongly voiced their distast for this. Its fucking shit to be a new player. They should really of had some catch up system to help them out. New players is what could keep the game floating,

4:27 I disagree here a bit. As a new player who has improved a lot over time Tower of Fantasy does offer new player friendly stuff and really greatly improved in those regards. I played before they changed things and played with other new players and was very alone for a certain time. They changed the way the system worked with the level system thing and that greatly improved everything for me. I was able to solo bosses and do everything else in world. I then joined a crew and if I asked for help someone came to my aid and helped me and another newbie I never met. Even if there’s one person who bothers to do this, I think it’ll greatly improve the experience of new players, I’ll definitely be one of them. The great thing is they’ll meet other new players at the same time as well, this to me is very comforting. I think we as a community can do a little there and there and hopefully the content creators take time to make new guides for PlayStation players and give them ideas on what to focus on and the way the wish system works because that really hurts your experience. The losing streak. I 100% believe new players will have an amazing experience

with the console port like ps4 i just hope this improves the low setting in game beacuse , low setting pretty bad and consider how old ps4 is this game gona stuck on low setting.

i do agreed the trailer is kinda awkward especially the jetpack -_- wish they showcase more of the cutscene they got but i guess they dont want new player to expect a lot on their story side since its one of their weak side rn. anyway excited for the PS launch hope we get a lot of player. it would be perfect if the launch was on 3.0 since we are also getting mentor system

I wasn't really suprised it wasn't on Xbox because its almost impossible to get Sony and Microsoft to allow crossplay with each other.

i basically stopped playing tof because it doesn’t really run well on my iphone 13 at all anymore… first 3 months of the game i could run everything on max settings, now i lag with low settings, i wish they did xbox too because i would come back to the game if i could play on my xbox.

Glad it's coming to playstation, I know 3 people who are going to be trying it out because of that. My main annoyance is only having 2 limited chars .. they need to be more generous like the CN version, plus the fact that the exploration helpers are dark crystal based..

Cools, I hope it goes well. Genshin is my main game but ToF is still plenty fun. Not a huge fan of the sea, tho, waiting for Domain 9 to come out.

I'm conflicted because I love cross save and have both PC and PS5, but it's still the same game by the same devs and the same publishers. I had planned to drop ToF after Rubilia. I'll at least give the PS version a shot to see if it reinvigorates something, but I'm not holding my breath either.

Oh yeah and regarding using your established account on PS, I believe it was Mihoyo that simply didn't bother to do the backend work to make it happen. They eventually did add it later on, and intentionally obfuscate the process to delete an existing PS account to use your established account. I don't think it was an exclusivity thing as much as Mihoyo being stingy and lazy, per usual.

tbh its mobile version that shoud be independed not the console version becouse the mobile version that holds back the game the most

I dont think adding a new platform to the game will benefit player rentention. The games obviously dying and it's on life support. It's not looking good but i still have hope. The game can still be fun with the right group and friends. I think if the devs focus on boosting previous simulacra weapons, it'll at least feel somewhat better for old and new players to look forward to reruns. At this point, nobody's wasting red nuclei on them and everyone only wants the best new op weapon.

They're super rushing stuff, my phy team can't cope anymore, I don't wanna replace my Shiro but phy is too strict on comps that I have to abandon my main element and move on to Fire which is the 2ndry doing more better than phy at 0* . And actually don't have any pulls for anything as most of the patches just get mashed in with less time and not much of a compensation for it. Just how worse can it be for 200 pulls giving me 1* Gno lmao, and phy actually needs ** on it.

What's next: Xbox? Nintendo Switch? Steam Deck? I do think they need to give 50 Dark Crystals every chest and have Red Nuclei and Special voucher & regular voucher chests as Supply pod III and II. Even if they are Rarer then Supply Pod II's (At least put DC in every supply pod again, perhaps put DC alongside Mira in password chests What I am saying is Rename Abandoned supply pods to supply Pod III's

They really have bad optimization. Lots of bug unfixed and this is one of the reason that ToF losing players because most PC players cant even play the game. Idk what happen with management, but i hope for the best.....

Will PlayStation users be able to place with pc players? I would say no, seeing how far pc is but I’ve been hearing PlayStation would start in 3.0.

Honestly? If a game is so much focused on milking people dry, there isn’t much of a surprise that the revenue goes down every month. They had every opportunity to make this a success but they chose to take every bad decision CN had and made it worse. Look, they make a character and if you are a day 1 player you probably need around 500$ to make it viable or need to save recourses for 3-4 months only to find out it was powercrept in a couple of months. Character skins cost 100$ each, a skin that could have been free to make characters more interesting to pull, characters that they literally sell Every new gear is a whale territory. Matrices are whale territory. Skins are whale territory mostly. I’m not against spending money in smth you enjoy, I’m a dolphin myself but it’s becoming more like a spending money sim.

Same here.I was so dissapointed to find out that fiona powercrept lin so hard by just a1 and 4pc matrices.I don't care that much if they powercrept a weapon that will enter standard although I still will be dissapointed by a little but powercreept a weapon that never enter it,it is just not it.I stopped spending and now I feel much better.

This was brutal. So 3.0 didn't do much for the game huh?

Chill guys, everyone can play both Hoyo & Hotta games at the same time. I played even pokemon, GTA & plant vs zombies, Phasmophobia etc. Actually we dont have yo $h1t on any game. Just enjoy all games. I dont understand who start this *$h1tting culture* on other game they dont play much. Some ppl will say the chinese genshin player who started it first by saying 'TOF is g killer', but some TOF players r the ones supported it, & some of them left the tof game after $hitying on g game🤦🏻‍♂️. Then the $h1tting culture keep ongoing & dont stop even until now

i won't bother playing this game until there is full controller support, if they don'r cross platform then it's an absolute pass.

Hear me out though, Bringing Tower of Fantasy to Playstation will just create issues based from my experience: 1. Censorship - no surprise but to my honest experience it's been like this since the end of last decade(earliest was about 2017 or 18) and I believe people hated it so much that the outfit would definitely be altered 2. FPS - Graphic intensive games can only run at most 30 - 45 fps for PS4 or PS5(depending on the storage you got) because I tried a few games in PS4 before, and most of the time it'd run at around that fast for fps 3. In-game purchases - Yes, PS Store will handle purchases for Playstation version instead of the game itself or Midasbuy, somehow you can use Credit card or your PSN wallet(restricted to a specific country only) 4. MMO is rare in Playstation(?) - I only know Onigiri and PSO2 as the only MMOs so it's not a surprise that MMO isn't popular, players like other genre for games than that(lemme know other MMOs) 5. PS Plus membership - Yes, playing via multiplay requires you to have subscription to PS Plus, I tried before but never paid for a subscription longer than 1 month 6. Screenshot/video recording restrictions - Certain games in Playstation cut some parts or maybe spoilers in the game and don't allow them to have a screenshot/video taken, so watch out 7. Game crash - Even a heavy game like ToF can crash in Playstation although it can be reported to Sony If anyone can think of more issues, feel free to add them.

Final Fantasy 14 is on PlayStation too. And even though most of the players are on PC, the PlayStation version is still doing well

It was a good start, but horrible execution. there were tons of bugs, they are still present, A lot of lag issues and etc. for a PC game generally it was really bad, like really really bad. I quit the game completely. P.S don't forget cheaters in PVP section of the game

​@@Rinnosempai All of those are brand new or not even out yet. Blue protocol has been on my watch since I played the beta... 4 years ago. GL release was delayed till 2024. I kind of took the whole "can't keep up with" to be things that are out now and proven, not just hype and honeymoon phases. It's not like we know the long term release rate and endgame of those games either.

😂 Yeah that one sucks. There is a solution. Set your character's height to the tallest setting and it will be fine.

Gotta say it's a terrible port like awful. Now they did fix a lot of problems but there is just so clanky the stuttering my God the stuttering it's terrible but other then that the controls for controllers are bad there is just so many buttons that don't make sense although the game is very fun for me I probably won't be playing it in 2 months from now

Tower of fantasy is a great game stop saying trash about it
