Last summer I found wild mint growing on my land. It has a wonderful taste and is stronger and rather different from the mint we can buy fresh in the supermarkets or the mint seedlings that we can buy, to plant. (NH, USA)

Such Stunningly beautiful scenery. I have very similar reactions to yours when I am out in nature; the beautiful feeling of the stillness and the exhilaration of the air, and just the aliveness of it all. I also love to knit I find it to be very therapeutic, and, like you, I wish I had a wonderful yarn store nearby, so that I didn’t have to order it online, which is not the same as seeing and feeling it in person, when you are making a choice! I love your cozy, living practices, and your adorable little pups!❤

No sorry Sanna here we are experiencing a mini heat wave that has so far lasted us 2 weeks without a drop of rainfall. And the thunderstorms forecast to freshen our winds, did not materialise as expected but inland trees gained from the downpours, so hopefully will top up our rivers with run off. Didn't expect to see more snow fall but as your video points out that is Northern Nordic life for you, expect the unexpected and hope it does not last. Cheers for sharing and take care. Potatoes are literally free money. I also live in the North of Sweden and potatoes, lettuce and radishes is my go to for the summer. Plus I don't have as much space to grow as you do. 💚 Good luck with the crops this summer! 🌞

How wonderful that you have started your garden. Good luck with it and I wish you a nice harvest from your own garden. 😍❤ If I could I would send you some warmth. I really enjoyed your Vlog 👍 Here in the Netherlands it has been extremely dry for weeks with wind, making it even drier even faster. It is also very hot. We've had temperatures above 30 degrees for a few days now. And in Limburg we are already experiencing the first heat wave. Here I hope it rains soon. But it doesn't look like that's going to happen any time soon.

Aww, thank you so much, Monique 🥰I'm sure I will celebrate our harvest, no matter how large or small, warmly and gratefully. Ugh, that sounds awful. Heat is the worst since there is no way to escape it. I really hope it gets better soon, that is not good for anyone to have it that hot and dry 😥I try to suck some warmth from you up here, maybe it'll get better for both of us, then😁

That we will definitely do, but for now we only have garden compost. Next year I hope we can purchase compost for all food waste from our kitchen, too, but they are quite expensive since they need to be good and work throughout the winter, too.

Maybe looking for a ( second hand) serre… I can imagine you ll need it !!

It's a wonderful place you've got. What is the age of the house? It looks like it is a traditional Finnish construction. Do you have a sauna?

Thank you 🥰 Our house is 175 years old and a very traditional old Finnish style log house. I’m planning to make a house-tour video where I tell more about our house ☺️ We do have sauna, it’s an essential part of a Finnish house ☺️
