I was in Haiti from 1985 to 1993. Those were very rough and troubled years in the country. Even though I was young and in school (St. Louis de Gonzague)I saw first hand the wrath it caused. It seems there was a Coup ‘Etat every week. I stayed in Bon Repos at that time and Mr Henry Namphy was my next door neighbor. One day he was the president. we used to hang out with his kids but my mother was scared because the people might see us as an attaché. I saw a lot of bloodshed during my stay in Haiti but don’t get me wrong I had a lot of great times and great memories of my childhood there.
