This trilogy of releases( " Stop The Bleeding ", " Psychosurgery ", and " Pathogenc Ocular Dissonance ") defined the standards of what TRUE thrash should sound like, Christian or Secular...Unlike the crap and the sludge the industry is needlessly thrusting at us like the pigslop we are receiving today. They didn't recover from their string of flops to follow until they released their 1999 instant classic, " MVTR ", which brought them back from the dead. These four releases are what Tourniquet will forever be remembered for creating...REAL, Quality Tunage WITH INTEGRITY! Seeing them no less than six times, starting back in 1994, convinced me they could actually play BETTER LIVE than in the studio, which blew my mind. Not many bands can ever make that claim, except Deliverance. Deliverance and Touniquet were neck and neck for the longest time until Tourniquet released " Vanishing Lessons " and Deliverance..." What A Joke. " 2018...it's no joke that these guys are still at it STRONGER than when they began. Mosh it up, BABY!!!

After so many years this still rocks like hell, after listening to Stryper this was the second christian rock band at the time that blew me away. Way back I was introduced into the Pentacostle church and remained there for a good few years. Thank God I've grown up since then, still back then the additional message made it that sound that more powerful. Now as a 44 y.o. been through so much and music-wise also, from metal to drum and bass, hip hop, trip hop, techno etcetera cause in the end it's all music that's what it's about. I am more like a Buddhist now though I don't wanna put myself in a box of some kind, that's the problem nowadays people fighting over words and beliefs that are merely thoughts. Anyway good music is simply timeless and is all that is neccesary to transcent you're abyss of darkness. There is no imaginary friend to help you, the sooner in life you get this the better. There are no rules in life, and there is no meaning to it, the moment you start defining things you don't know and accept them as truths you are getting delusional. Back to the music.. I don't like boxes plus the term trash metal never rang for me.. To me they were fast, highly technical, metallica like quality..so I defined them on my terms as speedmetal because in the end it's metal alright and it's fast and sorry for this long rant but music helped me get through hard times.. no imaginary friend ever did.

My research group has, for instance, engineered enzymes to function better in extreme conditions, and microorganisms to produce novel molecules.
