Wow, most of those people were pretty helpful. I thought most New Yorkers would be cold and too busy to stop and help out but my impression was wrong. First thing I learned when I first visited NYC is that no matter what language you speak, you can't just go ahead and say very inappropriate things that you'd never say in your home country because you assume that no one understand you...........whatever language you speak, someone else in a 20ft radius speaks it too lol
@klmasi

I bet no one speaks or understands Malay in New York and I'd have a ball of a time. No one knows what it is, not even you in a 20ft radius.

@@klmasi why cant malaysians put two and two together that you can't be massively overpopulated *and* unique? it's simple maths, I thought asians were good at maths
@klmasi
3 жыл бұрын
@@BongoTheClown Ok buddy, I'm going to take a stab here, you're assuming that South East Asians speak roughly the same dialect, that's understandable, coming from you. In reality there are hundreds of groups of SE asians, which breaks off into hundreds of different languages, and each has their own dialects, depending on which country they're from. So yes, congratulations Sherlock, you're right they're so so so many! Someone give this man an award. So when I say I'll take a gamble and speak in a SE Asian language, I'll probably be the only one to understand it, mate.
@klmasi
3 жыл бұрын
@@demonic88 Wait, did you forget the Indonesians, Bruneians, people of the Cocos Islands, East Timorians, the southern Filipinos, as well as some parts of Thailand? Wait did you assume that only Malaysians speak Malay? Or did you mean the people mentioned above couldn't be living in NY? And even if we all could live in NY, were you trying to imply that we ALL speak the same language? Yeah, your knowledge on this is as shallow as your comment. Not to mention racist too. So why dont you put 2 and 2 together, and realise that just because I speak a SE Asian dialect, out of the hundreds available, not necessarily be rude and be respectful while speaking it, and statistically speaking, be the only one in a 20ft radius to be able to speak it? Oh yes, Asians are better at math, and it seems like we're also better in logic too. Did this go the way you thought it would? Yeah me neither.

This was an unexpectedly adorable sketch.
According to this documentary, New Yorkers are patient, kind, accepting, and honest. My kind of people! Way to go, NYC!
oh man kyle style. loving it. this is one of the funniest sketches ive ever seen. not just from snl.
New Yorkers are very hospitable and chatty with visitors and strangers. They are relaxed about it. By far it is the city where people are most at ease speaking with strangers I have every experienced. It is awesome that way. One of the few cities where I enjoy travelling alone for that reason. By the same measure, however, if you get in the way or do something inconvenient to others, you will hear about it, without any restraint.
this is both ridiculous and heart-warming at the same time
Jay Pharaoh's character just killed it. Also - the annoyed woman with the umbrella - doesn't get why TF Bobby Moynihan's character is wasting her time!
Borat Lite but decent. SNL should make this into a movie, especially Kate McKinnon's character.
"Where's the big apple?" *guy points* I DIED
Yooooo the way Kyle GI joes the “hail a taxi!” Lmfaooo it’s true because a lot of immigrants only know English from television, and it’s all action movies
This is one of the funniest things I've seen on SNL. When Charlize Theron gave the camera and started walking away 😂😂
(upon hearing they're in Chicago) "oh I see!" Poor old lady thought she had dementia for a second
This is so funny . Best sketch in a long time. Its so awkward . Excellent accents.
This is just a proof that SNL cast members are so talented in playing different ethnicities they could really pass as foreign tourists
Kate was my favorite, and then the girls reply to her was clever.
Jay Pharaoh was SO underrated and underused

This was just perfect. So subtle, so beautiful. So damn funny 😄

This skit was Brilliant
People are surprisingly kind
Fuck'n Kyle man! I would watch a show with just Kyle & Kate, had me rollin🤣🤣
I love this so much. I can only assume Kyle wrote this😂😭
This is by far, in my top 10 favorite SNL skits of all time! It was consistent and funny, the whole way through! There are only a handful of their skits that are actually funny the entire time, and this is one of them! Loved this!! Some of the things they say, are just boring! Or simply not funny... Well..... a LOT of things they say aren't that funny or even clever. But this was an anomaly. Killed it! 👍
Hahahahah “you take I smile!”
“I have been tricked.”
