Touring the scenic Midlands Meander for arts, crafts, coffee and food!

The Midlands Meander is a relaxed group of arts, crafts, food, coffee and many more shops and galleries scattered along a rural route through Kwazulu Natal, South Africa. The area is scenic, with many streams and small rivers, lush green farms and plenty of friendly and eccentric people. The speed limits are low so that people can cruise along in a relaxing drive, and stop at the many places as they come across them.
There are detailed leaflets available along the way showing where all the different shops and businesses are, all colour coded, so once you have a leaflet it is very easy to find your way around.
It's well worth a visit - there are plenty of BnBs, hotels and self catering cottages all over the place, with prices to suit any budget - and there is lots to see and experience. There are several overlapping routes, and it would be quite easy to use up a week if you wanted to visit them all.
