I’ve been enjoying the HK Disneyland videos. Very informative, and a nice change of pace from all the videos on WDW.

Just looking at Mickey's travel trunk, I can see the nautical theme. And you probably thought "Those are nice code flags." because it's a language, like Chinese, that you cannot read. The code flags in order are Mike, India, Charlie, Kilo, Echo, Yankee. The first letter is most important. They spell out M-I-C-K-E-Y. I love Imagineers.

I've been to HK Disneyland Resort multiple times, but having ALLEARS team there reviewing it is breath of fresh air, definitely appreciate their take on the HK Disneyland, teams like ALLEARS and DFB do so much better job at portraying overseas Disney parks than the locals, I love how they are in regard and respectful of the culture when they are reviewing, and I appreciate how they are open to try different food options in the park, hope they could visit Asian parks more often.

Thanks for pointing out the mattress. I lived in China for nearly 3 years and Chinese people sleep on extremely firm mattresses. Most foreigners bought 2+ mattress toppers to make the mattress comfortable enough to sleep on. With this said, most foreign hotels had western style mattresses so I’m surprised that these rooms being owned by Disney and into in such an international city as Hong Kong would not have western mattresses

The nautical flags in Mickeys display spell M-I-C-K-E-Y. Thr written language is Chinese. Cantonese is the spoken dialect. All dialects use the same written language. (Movies have Chinese subtitles, because you might not understand the different dialects.)

@@AllEarsNet some of these stores also sell premade congee in cans. Just ask the staff at the Asian food store to help! Good luck!!! My favorite things to put inside are salted goose egg, peanuts, and pickled cabbage. Some traditional Cantonese restaurants also have it on the menu. Not sure sure if these is a large Cantonese population in Orlando though

I wish you had shown more of the Hollywood Hotel. It's idea of Art Deco seemed better than the Riviera Resort. This also reminds me of how Disney Parks is losing the art of theming at the WDW resort hotels.

I'm really surprised at how American and not Oriental those hotels are. I realize they are Disney but I think if I were staying there, I'd like a little more of a local vibe.

The hotels in HK are very Westernized because HK is a major international hub. If you go to hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui - Kowloon for example, the standards are higher than the typical American hotels. Some of those hotels have a Chinese decor that you may be after.

You won`t see anything `Oriental` in Hong Kong. We still have some buildings which are either old style colonial - or local Hong Kong style buildings.
