Haha it's always the way, whenever we say something the road proves us wrong 😄 Corsica has been amazing although we guess it gets very busy in the holiday season!

September best month to visit, spent many happy holidays on Corsica, met Gerard Depardieu! The locals are kamikaze like drivers going around the corners at great speed and overtaking, roads are twisty and full of blind corners,m they have no fear.

Yeah we noticed the locals are all Rally drivers 😁 -especially the post people lol. Loving the odd season travel as the roads are empty but it must be nice in September when everything is open and the sea is warm 😊 A wonderful place to have a summer holiday 😊

Watched this episode with my son (14) and he said he'd definitely be getting a bike when he's older. Result! Just need to tell the missus now 😂

Hello again, what a beautiful coastal road clinging to the edge of the cliffs, with the diverse colour and shape of the rocks, can’t believe the lack of traffic. At 72 years young I can watch and live the adventures with you, even if I cannot ride them myself. I rode various motorcycles for years until about 15 years ago but never went on adventures like yourselves, I really missed out. The video blogs inspire others to do these sort of adventures and go beyond their normal rides. Enjoy the journey, ride safe and keep the great videos coming,

Beautiful place but I would have rode like a novice as a hate roads with massive drops frighten the life out of me (I found this out in the Pyrenees in the 90's). Still loving this. Great to see you both back.

Missed the second part, yeah we have the Nexx Helmets but we are using the BMW ones for this trip.

Another great series of videos, we really enjoy watching them as you are both so positive about touring. Quick question do you use both the BMW Navigator and the phone with Calimoto. I have the old BMW navigator 6 and looks like I can export GPX files to it. Just wondered if you only use the phone now. Thanks.

Hi, this was a quick test to see if the GPX files we exported from calimoto would be followed exactly by the Connected Ride Navigator, so far it's worked perfectly. I don't need to have both on all the time so will probably just continue to use the Navigator with the GPX files on it. The phone is still handy for any off route navigation, like finding a supermarket etc

I see you've upgraded to the new BMW Connected Ride Navigator. How does it compare to the Garmin in your experience? I've done the same and been mixed. It's well made, operates smoother, but boy do I miss a lot of features (e.g. showing cafes/petrol stations on the map).

Only just started using it myself, for this tour we made the route on calimoto and uploaded the GPX files to the Navigator. So far like you say it's been working well. Can you not turn the points of interest on in the settings? ..i will have to have a look 👍

Hi guys! I enjoy your YT videos. I have one question. Safety of the bike while staying somewhere over nights or when you go walking and look around. How do you manage it?

Hi, yeah security is always an issue. For Corsica we weren't too worried but usually we choose hotels that have on site parking or underground parking is even better. We usually carry the big Oxford chain and chain the bike to something solid. We carry a smaller chain to secure the helmets if we leave the bike in the day time and sometimes we carry the pacsafe cage to but the boots and gear in. Although we generally try to stay the night in any city or town that we want to see so the bike and gear isn't left unattended too long. If stopping off at a place for a short time we try to park in places that don't have access to vehicles (to prevent a van pulling up next to the bike and lifting it) The lockable panniers also help keep things more secure, but at the end of the day you can only do so much. I think there is some examples of this in the Heading South Tour playlist. Thanks for watching

As the Navi and the calimoto app are both new to us we wanted to check if the GPS followed the GPX route that the calimoto app made. So far it's been working perfectly.

It will be the SatNav for sure, although the phone is handy if you are looking for a restaurant or a point of interest that's nearby.

No Vignette needed for Corsica. Most places accepted Credit card, however I think small businesses prefer the cash.
