Touring an INCREDIBLE and ABUNDANT 8 Year Old Food Forest in Phoenix, AZ! (Part 2, The Back Yard)

The abundance continues in the back yard of Steven's incredible Green Yard! If you missed part 1 please make sure to check it out by visiting, • Touring an INCREDIBLE ... , where we tour the front yard of this amazing 8 year old food forest. Situated in the heart of Phoenix, AZ, the back yard does not disappoint and Steven's hard work and passion has created a beautiful, vibrant and abundant space full of fruiting and flowering tropical trees and plants. The diversity is real in this back yard space, where you will see Mango's, June Plum, Mamey Sapote, Jaboticaba, Longan, Star Fruit and a whole plethora of other trees and plants. It's amazing to explore how this once blank canvas has become a space that is full of life and food.
One of my goals from the start of this channel was to show the progress of my Green Yard but also to showcase the amazing abundance, beauty and passion of other people and their green yards. I have been fortunate enough to travel to many places in the US and around the world and I have seen so many amazing people and amazing green yards and I want to bring that inspiration, passion and beauty to all of you on this channel. So if you have a green yard that you would like to have featured on the channel please feel free to comment below or reach out through our social media pages.

👌👌🌷💕🌷💕 I also grow a food forest (in Mesa). Forever in progress… but it makes me feel good that it’s the same with other people.

Beyond ultra high density! Please visit regularly. How does he keep huge trees so close and fruiting?

Hello @davidjslack, thank you for watching and commenting! Yes, he has an amazing Green Yard and it was so much fun to bring all of you along on a tour. I am hoping to go back in a few years to see how everything is doing and get an update. From our conversations he spends a lot of time pruning and making sure there are spacing for some trees yet shade for the trees that need it. It's all about the proper microclimate. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can you ask where he buys most of his plants? So much rare stuff, would be great to know the sources so we can buy too!

Hello, thank you for watching and commenting! We actually had a brief conversation about this the day I was there filming. He has gotten a lot of things from Greenlife by Shamus O'leary, also the Arizona Rare Fruit Growers. There's another nursery that I can't remember right now. I will update my comment later with that name as well. Let me know if you have any other questions, all of my rare stuff comes from Greenlife.

Hello @patwebb2375, thank you for watching and commenting! I appreciate you're kind words about the video and feedback about the music. I've been working on doing better balancing the audio in my videos. I went back and watched this video again and you're so right, it is too loud! Something for me to focus on again, thank you.
