wheelchair accessible and it has a foot activated door? that's far from wheelchair accessible. it needs a button on the wall to press like in allot of buildings to be wheelchair accessible. furthermore the raised from on the bottom is clearly hard to get over with a wheelchair. i call false info on this vid. also the dayhead is way too small for a wheelchair. the onsuite is just enough room to be accessible. i should know, i'm a paraplegic

Thanks, great walkthrough! Beautiful yacht. On a cruise it’s apparently only wheel chair accessible for whoever is sleeping in the owners cabin, since the elevator doesn’t go down to the guest cabin level.

It’s so crazy seeing this yacht so many years after helping build it. Mostly engine room work. Can’t believe it’s 20 years ago!

I do love the look of classic yachts, they just ooze comfort, character and charm. Love the range on this one too.

I agree. It’s hard to capture the feeling on camera but I love touring these older Burger yachts!

There is a homey feel to American-built/designed yachts which really speaks to me. They always make it clear that this is meant to be a cosy, warm comfortable home away from home. That is why I love American-designed yachts so much.

One of the main considerations for me is accessibility. I have a spinal injury causing mobility problems, the lift, and wide passerelle would be big plus points. I'm not a fan of dark woods everywhere, so that may go against it. Another plus is the high standard of maintenance. The sun deck is absolutely stunning. On the whole, this would definitely be on the viewing list. Thanks for the tour, Tony, and best wishes for 2014. 🇬🇧

I am forever fighting my natural instinct to move too quickly. It's something I have to remind myself every time I film. I get so excited internally whenever I step onboard a yacht like this I just get the urge to fly around. Thanks for watching!

Love all the real wood and craftsmanship that it took to build this boat. I'd rather have it with a steel hull if I was going to buy it because I know steel hulls stand up to rocks and other stuff below the water line. The elevator is really nice to have for us in a wheelchair and hard for us to get around. Nice video.

A very well designed yacht quality not just up to Heesen standards but very close. It’s classed as wheelchair accessible but yet the doors require you to press the button the floor. Not that easy for a person in a wheelchair so a magic eye should be fitted

Pretty sure the elevator door was locked because the elevator is down on the lower level still. If the door was unlocked, you'd see a shaft. You have to raise the elevator by pressing the button, it will lock the door below, then unlock the door when it arrives. There's similar systems in some older buildings without automatic sliding doors.

First of all Tony a Happy New Year and all the best for 2024 to you and yours 🎉. Between American and European yachts of this period it would always be an European yacht if I had plenty of money and the purchase of the yacht didn't affect me much,but if money was tighter but able to buy a yacht it would be to live on full time. The difference of these two for me is simply the outside look of the yachts, American yachts swim platforms and forward decks seem very bland and they tend to not make much of those areas,but where they peak my interest is their interiors especially for living abroad full time . Like this Burger,I love the interior,the wood work the layout as well as furnishings and fittings,the galley looks great very spacious, I'd be very happy to live on this yacht and be content. The dual shower in the master room is for a wheelchair. You can see someone sitting can access the controls and a shower head.

WOW ! Almost like a floating resort ! Beautiful !! Did I miss the crew quarters ? I'll rewatch. Thank you Tony !

My mom is walker/wheelchair bound, so it's always nice to see a wheelchair accessible yacht. The reason the elevator door wouldn't open on the upper deck is likely because the elevator was resting on the main deck. When the elevator is on one floor, the access points on other floors are generally locked to prevent anyone from falling down the shaft. Not sure if that's a regulation or just a common sense build (they weren't always like that).

Did you skip the crew quarters?

They have two 180' projects currently underway. I have been hounding them for the past two years so hopefully I can tour them within the next 12-18 months!

Thanks for a delightful video. Really enjoyed the classic Burger. So much elbow room everywhere, very gracious cabins and living spaces. It looks like the crew mess is located in the galley -- so much nicer than being in a windowless nook below decks. Are the crew cabins comfortable? Yachts with all dark woodwork are out of style now but to me the woodwork on Impetuous looks beautifully done and rich.

Ok, I wouldn't consider this one a Rolls-Royce. I would consider it a Porsche Panamera Turbo S or a Bentley Continental GT

It must cost a fortune to run a yacht of that size never mind maintenance. It its a beautiful yacht though. Thank you Tony.

Nothing much has changed in style for at least 20 years.

I know that boat pretty well... she is gorgeous stem to stern.. The galley and crew mess are exceptional.. I think she is worth the listed price... there is no perfect boat though, so the drawbacks are.. If you dont value the accessability then the elevator program eats up a bunch of real estate in prime spots with no benefit.. Not much room for water toys.. that beautifull davit needs about twice as much space to work with.. That said, anyone should be proud to own a boat like that..

Where does a person in a wheelchair take a dump or a shower?

The little details in this yacht make it look like a home and not a yacht. I've been on and seen hundreds of yachts and very few like this one stick out. Little details like the hand railing to go up to the next deck looks like something you'd see in a home. Just one of many small details that go a VERY long way!

Beautiful craftsmanship. Any LOI is going to be 1/3 this price. There are too many surfaces to refurbish so it isn’t such a dark creepy man cave. Sorry to the owner

Why is it on every yacht in the sky lounges you never ever see any recliners how can you enjoy those big TV sets without sitting in a nice leather recliner

It's not even wheelchair accessible. Bathrooms, showers, Galley isn't accessible. All there is is a ramp and elevator.Where do I crap????....on that master bedroom bed?

Wheelchair minimal access. Wheelchair usable, no. From someone in a wheelchair.

While very nice, but certainly misleading title. Certainly not wheelchair accessibility. Lift yes but not to rooms.

I disagree that the title is misleading. The idea is that if the owner (or whoever sleeps in the largest cabin on the main deck) is wheelchair bound, they can still easily get onboard and up to the other entertainment decks with ease.

I am paraplegic and feel this boat would work well for me. My last boat was a 78 Westbay Sonship and and crawling around on that was very tough.

+Please stop saying "so" all the time. I've stopped watching your videos because it's so annoying. Also, I'm not an idiot or am I blind, stop stating the absolute obvious. like " here we have seating and the ships bell" WTF? Rather comment on the different materials or even how strong the boat is. I understand that you have never worked professionally on yachts, it shows as you have no idea what things are really called, but stop treating the rest of us like blind morons. I must say though, your camera work has improved tremendously, well done. Why don't you go and spend a fortune on all the courses that will enable you to work on one of these yachts, get some experience, and then not only know what you are talking about but appreciate it as well, instead of taking the short cut, as you are doing, and pretending you are something you most definitely are not. A professional.
