Lived in Tottenham from 1956 to 67. This short film brings back lots of great memories of one of the best times of my life. Thanks to the person who made the film, and to the person who posted it.

Hi Tim. I lived in Tottenham from 1956 to the early seventies. This is a trip down memory lane. I've lived in Spain for the last 25 years and now in my late sixties I'm still, and always will be, a Spurs fan.

Great video....thanks...... I was born in 61 and lived on seven sisters road in my grandads house until I was about 11 when we moved to beaconsfield road. My grandads house was compulsory purchased and demolished to build the estate thats still there now. I loved tottenham back in the day and the 70s were great years there...... I will say now its an expensive hole like a lot of London...... I recently moved to Lincs but have a sign in my kitchen "seven sisters road N15"

I lived off west green road where it met Philip Lane... now in east anglia moved out in my 40s...so nostalgic to see the old Tottenham I grew up in

I grew up in Philip lane and went to Belmont and Downhills school. Now living in Hertfordshire.

This where I grew up and it brought back so many memories of how it used to be.

Nice footage of Tottenham. Two outstanding features with the area. One is the street scene of London Transport Routemaster buses on the 275 the other feature of course is Tottenham Hotspur football club and if you follow football, you know Tottenham Hotspur were a great football team, they had plenty of talent in Mackay, Gilzean, Mullery, Greaves, Jones and Jennings in goal to name a few not to mention the manager Bill Nicholson.

Born in 72. My father was a book binder for Tottenham library.

Lived in Grove Road off St Anns Road from being born to circa 1970. Chestnut Park on hand for football and playground stuff.

Once upon a time maybe in the 40s-50s, Tottenham used to be a very rich area, richer than Kensington and Chelsea, if you asked somebody in those days where they live, people uses to be proud to say Tottenham.

Yes, Northumberland Park in Tottenham had some attractive large houses. I think Tottenham's peak was more likely pre WW2. I moved into the area in 1958, at that time it was well looked after but not posh. The Lea Valley had a lot of light industry, providing employment for many reasonably well paid skilled workers. It was convenient for them to live in Tottenham.

I grew up in Tottenham in the 60s and that was the best time of my life. I've heard is not that great now, but every so often I'd like to go back for all the lovely memories. I just saw the toilets by Bruce Castle park and I remember going in there and when I pulled the chain the whole cistern came down and soaked me 😂😂

Yes, i used the Toilet there as a child I went to sperling road school. I left Tottenham in 1971 I was 9 I lived in Bruce grove opposite the arms houses.

I spent the first 26 happy years of my life in Tottenham, now i would'nt let my dog live there!

Me too I was there then We moved from Tottenham in 1971 I was a small child then Remember the A1 stores record shop And when they opened an indoor like scale electric store. Would go to children's Saturday morning disco at the Royal And Sunday morning swimming at the counsel building. Also drinking orange juice from Woolworths remember the machine with orange's floating about inside.
