So so cool! I'm more of a NY, east coast punk fan, but I have tons of respect across the board. Didn't see any Lunahicks stuff (though Warren did mention touring with them) My favorite female punk band! It'd be pretty badass to take the tour again with Fat Mike, it'd be a whole different experience. Thanks Jordan, this was a great one!

I am so impressed, I mean they did a really fantastic job and having Warren as a tour guide made it even sweeter! If my husband was alive, he would have LOVED this museum and we probably would have made a trip to see this for ourselves. Black Flag, Social D, Misfits, Exploited, TSOL, Suicidal Tendencies. Nirvana, DI., Wasted Youth. Thanks Jordan, fun vlog!

Green Day's section was cool but should have been bigger in my opinion, the carried punk rock through the 90s and into the 2000s but they are also my favorite band so maybe thats just my outlook on it.

@@cygnusa3772 correct it does. Saying “no” to being in a museum where probably half the people in there and involved also called them “sell outs” and whatever else over the years. “Wanna be part of our museum now?” “Nah” Pretty punk rock? But, regardless, they still gave one of BJS blue copies so it can’t be as black and white as them not wanting to partake really.

I laughed, and called 'bullshit' on this the first time I heard about the 'controversy'. I still believe Billie and Fat Mike were at a bar, downing some brews, and one of them said, "Let's punk everyone and say Green Day won't participate with the punks...it will get the museum a lot of great publicity and start a ton of shit talk!" This actually sounds like a Fat Mike tactic, and I hope it went down exactly like that! * Also of note: there is more Green Day memorabilia here than at the RnRHoF.

I’m only a couple hours away, so I HAVE to get out there!!! “The Vandals” are one of the bands that got me into “Punk” in H.S. “Live Fast, Diarrhea” came out when I was a Sophomore in H.S. and that record, NOFX WT2H&AB and others made me feel like this was something that even I could be part of!!! I also remember seeing Devo before they were famous at Eddie's on Eagle St. in Cleveland, dive bar. His comment about punk being around since the beginning of time reminded me of a funny time in middle school. Ok Daze, first off….Great video!! I know that your a Vandals fan, and now after the tour with Warren F, I’m sure you’re a huge fan of him as well!! I grew up in the OC here, and as any musician from “back in the day” will tell you Orange County’s punk rock scene was/is a close circle of folks who were inevitably networked extensively. Warren played guitar with a couple other bands as well as singing in the Vandals and though these acts are eclipsed by the Vandals, they still are part of an entertaining saga of the scene here. These bands were, El Groupo Sexo, and later towards the 90’s a band named Gherkin Ruckus. El Groupo Sexo was a large band that incorporated horns and other instruments as well as having a more funk/punk comedic lyrical quality that is again similar to the Vandals. Gherkin Ruckus was a band that formed towards the begging of the 90’s and like El Groupo, they too incorporated a bit of a Red Hot Chili Peppers vibe but with a bit more “musicianship” as by this time the players in Gherkin were far more established and skilled. One of the members of Gherkin Ruckus who sticks out in my mind is Miles Gillette, the drummer. He also was the drummer for El Groupo Sexo. Miles worked at a local record store here in the OC called Peer Records. In particular, the one located across from UCI in Irvine. I worked at this store with Miles. Much like Miles, I too was a drummer and he often shared a lot with me in regards to playing style. Miles went on later to form a band with THE notable skate photographer “O” from Thrasher magazine. Together they performed in a very heavy riff oriented band with the fuzz/grunge sound. This band was called Fluff. Again, for the 90’s, these guys were road dogs touring constantly on festivals like Warped tour and Lalapalooza. Some other well known local acts from that period were Big Drill Car from Costa Mesa, The Muffs w/ Kim Shattuck from Anaheim, No Doubt also from Anaheim (whom you’ve mentioned), Social Distortion from Fullerton (kinda obvious). Some of the other “baby” bands of notice are acts like Sensefield, Farside (the non rap act), and Insideout w/ Zack De La Rocha of Rage Against the Machine notoriety. I hope that was a fun romp through a little bit of OC underground music history!! CHEERS!! Stromboli 🤓👍👌😎

Most places don't even want you to use any camera other than a cellphone, so basically however I post the videos is the best way at the time that I was able to do it.. it wasn't a private Tour, and they have music playing throughout the whole place. Sometimes the experience just is what it is..
