    Running an 2021 sg40 and 2023 Kubota scl 1000 mini skid on a 6x12 dump trailer. Both fit perfectly at the same time. Some extra tie down points would be great

    Do you remove the chips if the customer requests it? If so, how do you haul them?

  • @ByeStump

    Yup, upon request. If it’s a 5’ stump or less I can usually fit it in my pickup bed. I unload with a LoadHandler. Actually just posted a video now using it. Anything larger I add a roll off to my quote or hire a dump trailer service to meet me at the job site.

    You can get your old teeth retipped. I use Wit-Son quality tool. The retips from them hold up as well as new teeth in my experience.

    @@ByeStump I had them retip Greenteeth and Rayco super teeth. Maybe the revolution cutter wheel teeth don't take new tips well. Maybe Wit-Son has changed their retipping process, I just started getting my teeth retipped two years ago.

    Totally agree. It’s mostly people who have no idea fighting over it. I tried both. Tracks have a place. Just not where I work for any every day machine

    🔥🔥 Thanks boss. I always thought track was better too but you're saying otherwise. I'll take it from the pro. My only thing is you don't ever slide when on a steep hill ? Also so would you recommend someone getting their first grinder with wheels and not tracks. ? Because i was planning on getting the sg40 but now you got me double thinking.

    Tracks slide more in my experience. The 852 goes where the sg40 can’t on clay. Vermeer 4x4 is the only tire machine I would consider. The other company’s machines can’t even climb a chip pile with 4x4. My Vermeer machines with 4x4 go where I can’t even walk

    Do you locate utilities for every single stump you grind ? Also how were you able to initialy fund your business when you first got in ?

  • @ByeStump

    @ByeStump

    Жыл бұрын

    I do get locates for every job. Pretty non negotiable on that. I started with a $1000 used Bluebird handlebar grinder. Ran it til I could buy a used RG25 handlebar machine. Then maxed out my credit and got a loan for the rest for a $16,000 used 352 I ran for 5 years. Then bought my first new machine a 372. Then sold the business and signed a 2 year non compete and moved out of state. 2 years and 3 days later, I got a random call for about 12,000 stumps. Won that job and it turned into Superior Stump Removal. I don’t drink or do drugs. I work an insane amount of hours to continue growing. I communicate and treat everyone with respect. I don’t waste money and buy as smart as I can. It’s been 13 years of stump hustle! There’s a podcast I did that covers some more. It’s episode 24 on The Devin Dyer show

    I did try. About 600 teeth over 7 months. They cut great for 5 minutes and then fell flat on their face. They were definitely not worth the money savings. I happily buy new teeth from New River and won’t try that again

    I’ve tried most of the wheels out there and New River is hands down my favorite. It’s the easiest to own and maintain. You don’t need a bunch of extra parts. It doesn’t throw mulch everywhere. The machine doesn’t bounce around so it’s better for the machine long term. The company is made up of some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I absolutely recommend New River. Brad Stanton is the sales rep. His direct line is (412) 979-2236. He’s in Ohio so make sure to call during business hours.
