Being proud means you will take care of it and that’s a great thing. I clicked on this to see your truck and maybe get some specs, I think I got the wrong channel. Just curious how it is that you have a CDL and your unsure of your air brake system, I know when I got my license the written exam was General knowledge, then in addition to drive a tractor trailer you need to pass the Air brake and Combination vehicles test as well. The next time your pulling a heavy load going downhill you damn well better know how to use your brakes.

Great video! Just a heads up. Carbon monoxide is heavier than air while smoke is lighter than air. I don't recommend combo units because one will always be at a disadvantage. I would recommend a smoke detector to keep up high and a separate carbon monoxide detector to keep down low. It's most important to keep your carbon monoxide detector below the level of your head when sleeping.

Europe, even some countries that do not belong to the European Union. Big greetings for brother Trucker

They have to fix this with trucking both trucks and truck stops need rev style electrical hookups so you don’t have idle all night. It would save sooooo much emissions on a large scale.(I’m aware sometime truckers don’t stay at truck stops) but wouldn’t that just save so much hassle. No to mention the reduced wear on the engines.

Alex, what job did you have just prior to becoming a trucker? Have you always been an over the road trucker, or have you done local deliveries? Do you want to bring a pet (dog, for example) with you on the truck?

I’m surprised that you haven’t invested in an E bike that you could somehow mount to the back of your cabinet between the truck and the trailer so that when you get a different cities you could maybe get around on a day and a half or 30+ hours that you have. I have to be not driving the truck so occasionally you can get your new or interesting places?

Im really familiar with that digital pads. I used to work on Mercedes Actros and they changed analog gages to digital (in my opinion worse) And then when you talk about the breaks, got little confused. The yellow button is parking brake, not to turn on the brakes... instead of a handbrake.... right? It's also good to get to know every function of the buttons you have, why are they there and what do they do, and in what circumstances do I press them.

I love your videos Alex ...I'm writing this from my home country Greece.. I recently got my CDL Class B license in Massachusetts and now I'm Back in Greece... but when I get back home I'm going to go for my class A... I just want you to know I watch every single video of yours and I think you're absolutely amazing ...the only gripe I do have is when you can't make a turn and you edit it out and you don't show us what you do to counter that problem

Perhaps when he says custom, he is referring to the trolley brake, matching paint scheme, and digital dash, etc. None of those are standard on a Freightliner Cascadia. Matching paint on bumpers, extended fairing, aerodynamic package, battery powered HVAC, air ride suspension, and interior upgrades add to the cost. He never showed what’s under the hood, he could have a DD16 or have opted for more torque and horsepower. The list of what is considered custom can go on and on. From the looks, it could appear like a standard company spec truck but be in fact a custom truck. When I ordered my 2021 Freightliner Cascadia, I had it customized for what I specialize in. From the outside, it appears like a standard company spec truck, sort of. But their are some differences on the outside that would give it away that I don’t have a company specked truck. I chose to skip the digital dash until my next new customized Freightliner. What I wish that I didn’t skip out on was the air suspension, driver lane keeper, and perhaps the battery powered HVAC system, although I have a battery powered AC mini split system which cost way less and works a lot better than Freightliner’s battery powered HVAC system. And lastly, what I really want customized is to add a wet bath. It can be done and has been done. There’s a shop down here in Texas that installs them. You lose the left shelf space, but hey, drop the top bunk, install some Walmart ben’s and I’d be a happy camper.
