Such a nice Plane! 😊 You know why it’s a IO470? I thought the older 182 have a O470? Is the IO a better?

You’re totally right- TYPO!!! I’m so used to writing “IO” for the other planes I fly

O-models are carbureted and IO- models are fuel-injected.
Nothing like a gorgeous vintage airplane! Can't wait to see all the adventures and fun flights you take MoJo on!
This might be the most beautiful Cessna I've ever seen. And yes, keep that vintage radio!
What a beautiful plane. I can just picture that thing flying back in the late 50s
Great job pointing out the unique features of the early C182. I have owned N4712D for 35 years taking it to over 45 states and Arctic Canada a few times. I could go on forever about what an amazing aircraft this is but you will soon discover this for yourself. When you fly IFR and, I have done a lot of it, you will find that the carburetor doubles as an ice maker. Also, turn your oil dipstick 90 degrees CW and it will be securely locked in place from where it was shown in the video. Turn it 90 degrees CCW and it can be easily removed. Thank you for the video. I am looking forward to watching your many adventures.
I remember these Vintage Cessnas as a Child in the late 1950's in Swaziland Africa where the Bush Pilots used to land on Farm Dirt roads and Golf Course Fairways >> no formal Airstrips
Whoever was behind the camera has some serious talent. Great camera work!
I fly a 1956 H35 Bonanza we just placed a 0 time IO470N in the aircraft. It had an O470G that was converted to an IO470N and come to find out Continental says you cant do that so it was totally un airworthy. Finally got her powerplant in order and now we will work on the avionics! Love the vintage look and smell of aircraft! Fly safe!!
Whoever polished that aluminum sure did a good job :-) lol
I was three years old when this was made. No wonder I feel old some mornings. All I can say is, LETS GO FLYING!!!
I'm so glad you are going to keep her vintage look, there's something special about the 50's...well I'm from the 50's😉🤣Great video, keep em coming👍
Mindy, Such a wonderful breath of fresh air ! You are usually so serious, but I found much more of your personality coming through on this video. I didn't know you had such a great sense of humor. I really appreciated your joking comments. Thank you for starting up your videos again. I have truly missed your sharing. Best to you and yours for the coming year ! Walter

Thank you so much!! I have to be a bit more “polished” for work but I’m happy to make these in my off time and do whatever I want! 😁
Thanks for keeping the older plane magnificent. You all did a super job.
Love the video. After flying our 1968 182L, here is what I've learned: 1. We fly with our pants off now (wheel pants that is). Had some issues keeping the tire inflated and it was too hard to check with pants on. We don't feel like we are giving that much up with them off. 2. I get your excitement with the door. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another one opens, but other than that, it is a pretty good Cessna, and lastly, 3. ENJOY the plane, I really enjoy ours.
I had a 1955 Cessna 180 and it had a O-470 J Continental engine in it. the oil cooler was not vertical and I had issues with high temperatures in it during the summer months here in the South. The Exhaust system had two bolt flanges and were notorious about blowing gaskets. The final remedy for this was putting a O-470 R Continental engine on the plane. NOTE:with the high temps the propeller became uncontrollable on the J engine! Good luck with your purchase it is a beauty!
Stunning aircraft and great tour! 😊
Loved the 182 tour! Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to y’all sharing your flying adventures in such a beautiful vintage airplane.
That's a beautiful plane! You all did a great job polishing it!
What a beautiful bird. Thank you so much for sharing it with us. Such a classic !!!
Beautiful. Will always be envious of the man who wone your heart! You and your new plane are so special.
Such a beautiful plane! Love the colors, the exposed metal, and the vintage interior. I agree, do not change it too much.
Happy for you guys and Mojo has some lucky parents. Can't wait to see the adventures you take with it.
Absolutely beautiful airplane, Mindy!!! Keep the videos coming! Love you guys!
The colors and interior are a vintage dream! I absolutely love it.
Another great video! Looking forward to see you flying your new bird!
OLD is GOLD ! Nice airplane Mindy !
Very nicely done tour! That aircraft is in amazing condition, but glad you're taking care with the upgrades. Many thanks for the vid.
Love ya Mindy and I'm also in love with your classic straight tailed 182A. Can't wait to go flying!
That is one awesome looking 182. It looks like a museum piece. I have owned a 58 182A for over 25 years and would love to have a similar paint scheme. Maybe next year... Mine is closing in on 10,000 TT. Your's is like factory new at 2000 hours. I have the original wheel pants but have only installed them once. It didn't make much difference in cruise speed and much easier to inspect and maintain the tires and brakes with them off. BTW, I had almost 3000 hours on my O-470L before I upgraded. As long as the oil analysis is good and cylinder compressions are good, I'd keep flying her.

I’m happy to hear you plan on preserving the spirit of her original design. These ‘56-‘59 182s are something very special.
What a beautiful classic ! !
I am in love with this airplane! The (vintage Cessna) panel is my favorite. I think you should put hats on the hat tray, just a boatload of hats! I’m so glad she is in good hands! So happy for you guys!
I have over 2500 hrs in a 57' Skylane! Loved hauling skydivers in it, and yours brings back so many memories! It was such a great performer.
What a find! 👍 That plane is B E A U T I F U L L ! 👍
Incredibly classy vintage plane. Love the retro colors with polished accents!
Great video - 182 looking really good!
You’ve got to be thrilled with this one,a very nice example of a fifties Cessna👌🙂
I’m sure you feel like I did last month when I was in Wichita and Independence touring the production line where in Wichita they built close to 600 180’s like my 1954 ser 782. Manual flaps are the best. Thanks for posting another video Mindy. Beautiful 182. Have fun with it
That is one beauty of a Cessna!
Beautiful restoration! Love it! I own a 1956 182. The last one built that year. It hasn't been restored. I fly it all the time.
Wow great looking plane! Love the polished metal look.
Actually a great job @schmiindy! I’m not quite sure why but laughed out loud a few times. Great find on the plane and keep swinging those clubs Kev.
Beautiful plane. You are very fortunate. So glad you are trying to keep it looking original. Happy flying.
What a sweet plane, nice to see more vlogs!👍
The paint scheme is absolutely beautiful. Glad you guys are focused on keeping the ambiance of the plane even with upgrades. The yokes are one of my favorite parts. The are damn near pieces of art.
Just lil captions are just so funny. Love it!
That is a cool looking paint job. I love the polished aluminum. Hey who needs pants? The trim is similar to some commercial aircraft. Okay, now you need a 1957 VW bus and you guys are set. Great looking plane Mindy. Can't wait to see a video of you in the air.
Love it!!!!
What a beautiful classic airplane 👌 Plus you are very pleasing to look at and listen too ❤❤Thank you for sharing !
Great video, Mindy. MOJO is cool!
Love you two, keep it up. 😎
What a gorgeous looking aircraft 😁
Congratulations! Beautiful airplane. A true classic. 👍
What an awesome vintage plane, I just love it.

Thank you for sharing your beautiful aircraft ! Good flight !
Very nice looking Cessna! Great find
Beautiful plane. Love that paint job!
Beautiful 182!
Beautiful vintage plane. Thanks for sharing.
Lovely aeroplane, reminds me of my Dad's C150B model. We don't call them 'pants' on this side of the pond, we call them spats😊👍 Sympathetic upgrades like brakes are a good idea, especially re safety 👍😊 That panel and interior is gorgeous - I'd try and keep the look but as with classic car radios, have modern electronics put in👍👍😊😉
G’day and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 great plan and is my age 65 I built aRC when I was in my teens it was very big and flew very well, your plan is in very good condition. The continental engines are great engines it was a great walk around and it bought back some great memories thank you kind regards John
I LOVE manual flaps!! Definitely keep the radio!!
Gorgeous Plane!
I've never seen a more beautiful small aircraft, wow...
FLYING WITH NO PANTS!! LMAO Ah, thanks, I needed that laugh on a cold gray winter day. So that intercom set up with the ptt velcroed to the yoke really takes me back, had exactly the same setup in the 3 152s I originally trained in. Heck a lot of times we just wore earplugs and used the mike and speaker for the radio, intercoms were luxury items. As I recall my instructor once partially turned the fuel shut off valve on the floor off by tugging on an intercom wire - important safety tip there. Looking forward to seeing that classic bird in flight! Cheers.

Very happy you mentioned that. The fuel selector is very easy to move….thank you!! I’ll be watching that closely!
Oh Schmiiimdy. A good portion of my instructing hours were using a portable intercom. So I has to string that stuff every flight in a variety of different airplanes! We are lucky (and spoiled) that electronic niceties like intercoms have come way down in price and have become much more accepted! That is very pretty 182, I have a 1957 PA-22/20. Welcome to vintage airplane flying!!!
Wow what a beautiful plane. Congratulations!
A beautiful classic. Glad it found a great home. I had the same intercom on our warrior when we bought it and it was a mess. We ended up upgrading with 4 place intercom for about $1200 total prior to doing the interior upgrade. It works like a charm. Enjoy the classic bird!
mindy, you all definitely have found a gem for sure!! I have a 59 172 with about the same TT on it. Just finished putting a new Garmin flip flop radio and Stratus transponder with ADSB in and out. Like you said, it flies hands off once its trimmed. My headliner is starting to show its age, probably be replaced in the spring, N7123T----Thanks for sharing!!
Cool. Beautiful plane.
Nice plane and nice tour, thanks.
Oh, she's so beautiful....😍 I love that "aqua-teal" and old school accents! I loved flying a '58 Cessna 150..you've got the same "40° on the floor" as I call it.. your 182 definitely has more power though! Will be a great travel plane! 😉👍
❤Love your plane, a fine example. Brings back so many memories. Our families first airplane was a 1959 Cessna 182, N5818B bought in 1977 for &19,000, but i think ours was a cont O470J. we used it primarily for Bush Backcountry flying, checking cows and Ranch work, was always used off-field, dirt roads, dirt strips, Meadows, brush Etc, the only time she saw pavement or prepared Runway was when it was time for annual and she had to go to the shop. Unfortunately, she was involved in an accident during flair for landing, hit a deer with the right main landing gear, ripped the right gear main leg off and damaged horizontal stabilizer, the ensuing ground Loop resulted in a tweaked bulkhead, twisted fuselage and damaged wingtip, otherwise the rest of the plane was fine. She was sold for $13,000 in the early 90s, rebuilt and placed back into service by the new owner. Shes still alive, in polished aluminum finish, no paint, regularly flown and still a great flyer from what I hear. She was replaced by my dad & uncle with 2 planes a 1956 C-172 N77KB cont O300, Bush stall fences, tips and leading edge cuff for my dad, & a 1950 C-170 rag wing with 210hp cont O360 & constant speed prop conversion, for my uncle, that one is A total rocket. Take care of that beautiful plane, she's a perfect example, love it.😊👍
love the vintage look.
I love your plane! Sweet doors too! I have a 64’ model 150 and the doors close very nicely on it also
Nice!!! Thanks for sharing
Mindy, I recently found your page and am enjoying it very much. I remember seeing you on a couple of Steveo1kenivo's videos from a few years ago. Your videos are fun to watch because they show you guys in a very real way and you do a great job with the editing. I want to wish you both the very best and look forward to keeping up with your adventures.
What a find! Beautiful old bird.
Nice video, love the vintage plane... ! you are lucky ! more videos please!!!!! best !
Capt. Mindy, Phenomenal 182...Thanks for the walk-around and Nice Hanger too';-)
What a great find…that thing will certainly turn some heads at the airport. Looking forward to seeing how you modernize the panel without losing all that charm.

We’re gonna do our best! Some Garmin 275s should do the trick 🤞🏼
That old VHF radio is awesome! So much to love about that plane. And to think it only has 2000 hours on it. It is literally that classic little old ladies “car” that has had one owner since new and hardly used. What a great find! Oh, I live on five acres and it’s usually perfectly fine to just about anything around the place without pants on. Just saying….

Love the polished aluminum !
Awesome!
Beautiful old Cessna! Going to want to stock up on the Aluminum Polish .👌
It’s a beauty!
If memory serves me right, I learned to fly on a 1952 Cessna 172, and it also had the manual flaps. Yours has a nicer looking cockpit than the one I flew. I also enjoyed your previous polishing video; you really brought the shine back to the plane.

Wow! WOW! (It's very pretty)
amazing airplane, great video.
Great looking plane!
The color scheme is awesome. Got those push to talky button thingys on some old planes at my FBO. I’m sure you can’t wait for the upgrade 😂 what a great vintage plane. Thanks for sharing!
I love, love, LOVE your new bird! I have a '64 G model but it is way rougher than your gem! I love your interior so much! Also, I agree, NEVER take out that wonderful old radio! So cool! Mine came with the wheel pants but I took them off. On the older models the main gear track is narrow and when the pants are on you end up barking your shin on or stumbling all over the wheel pants! 2 mph was not worth the hassle! So then I flew with the nose pant only for while but it was such a HUGE pain checking the air pressure or pre-flighting the tire so it came off as well. All the pants are in the attic now! :) Yeah, those old goodyear brakes gotta go! When I replaced them the Clevland's were less than just new brake pads for the Goodyear's so it was a no brainer. I could talk airplanes with ya all day so I will just shut up now but I wanted to tell you how gorgeous your baby is!
Soloed a 57 172 back in the day. Totally awesome with the johnson flap handle. Miss those days. Enjoy
That's an incredible find, 2000 hrs TT and 400 engine. Beautiful airplane! I love the polish against the paint. I think the straight tail Cessnas are faster than the swept tail. The IO-470 is very reliable engine. I had a 182 for a "company car" a few years ago and really liked the airplane. Congrats to you and Kevin on your new adventure into MCO. A couple of your new coworkers told me you have come on board with them. They are a customer of mine and a good company to be with. I'm sure you'll do a great job for them. Hopefully you'll bring your airplane to Sun n Fun this year. We've met there and EAA OSH a couple times. Blue Skies and tailwinds!
Such a beautiful plane
Absolutely beautiful aircraft, I used to fly a 1947 Cessna 140 (G-BPUU), some of the best flying I've ever done. My favourite feature was the retractable landing light.

Haha yes I forgot about that!! 140s are super cool.
What a beautiful airplane you have the livery is amazing, very pleased to see that you like to keep it original, love that you keep the original radio as well, I know some glass in it is more practical but it destroys the look. luckily we have portable glass cockpits currently.;) Happy flying!!
