Tour Marie Nock's BACKYARD JUNGLE - Ep. 310
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Steve and Marie's 1-acre piece of land in Florida came with a riding lawnmower, but after 50+ years of growing plants-there is no need for one now! Instead a machete or some loppers may get us through the thick, jungly layer that has become their backyard and garden where they propagate and sell plants. Enjoy this tour!

My fave Plant One On Me episode; I think I’ve watched this at least five times now without skipping. I just love how Marie has a story for almost every plant shown. Thank you for giving us a peek into Steve and Marie’s legacy. Ree Gardens is indeed a very magical place 🩷
This is one of the many reasons why I love this channel. Summer's interviews with passionate plant people always inspire me to be a better grower. Marie had the fortune of starting early as a youngster. At 4 years old, I was more interested in eating dirt than growing plants in it.
I hope y’all do visit her jungle garden again in the Spring or Summer. I would love to see an update video on this magical oasis!

Ooh, me too! I'd love to see the transformation
What an absolute treasure this woman is. X
What a passion for plants! This lady is phenomenal in her knowledge❤❤❤
Thanks for appreciating our plants, which many Filipinos take for granted. I live at near a rainforest where we have wild hoyas, medenillas, alocasias, angiopterus, etc
It is so impressive how she remembers all these names and how sharp she is. What a joy to be around her must be❤
I can’t stop watching this video. I wish I could have met Steve. Marie’s a delight.
Her and her late husbands love of plants really show how a beginner can come to be a pioneer in the plant kingdom. Dedication and hard but enjoyable work. Thank you for highlighting these gardens and people with us. She is a gem!
Marie visited our garden in Hawaii a few years back and I am embarrassed to say, we didn’t realize who she was and what a wealth of aroid information she knew! I hope she returns again to us at Andersen Gardens! She is extremely sweet and humble as well!
In my country we say "this is meraki" A private paradise. Thanks Summer Rayne

Love love love this episode! It’s the best I’ve seen so far with real people, real jungle, nothing pretentious and all grown from lots of passion and love ❤❤❤
That was a honour to spend that time listening to her, amazing knowledge and passion ,what a lovely lady, my favourite episode so far.
I’ve never met her, but hoping to at TPIE 2024. I have several of her plants mentioned in the video and would be honored to learn from her and some of her babies an excellent new home.
She needs a couple Dobermans protecting her property! What a amazing collection of real rare plants.

A lifetime passion....how majestic
One of my favourite dalta force 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Love this! It's fascinating to see what people can create in their own climate zone. Over here in the UK we can only dream of growing these sorts of plants outside. Anyone else pushing their climate? 🌴🌵
Amazing lady with a beautiful garden ❤
i came across 1 video of ms summer and i just keep on watching and keep on learning and starting to love each specie of plant
The kind of people who i wanted to be it inspires me to do more collecting but also breeding since the start of lockdown i started anthurium magnificum pollinating and it was a successful and i got variegated seedlings magnificum but unfortunately it rot and now finally another successful pollination growing a 4month old variegated anthurium magnificum seedlings I would like to thanks summer for making videos like this it was a brilliant idea for people like me who are interested in planting , breeding and many more😊
Fascinating, and Marie seems like such a lovely soul, too. Plant people are always cool. I love how everyone seems to know each other. You can just say "Jeff has one" and everyone already knows who Jeff is lol
Wow. Now that is a back yard! I live in west Texas and one of my first thoughts when I saw all those plants so close together was, 'God I hope there aren't any snakes'. We have rattlers here but there they have problems with invasive pythons. And my friends think I'm a crazy plant person. When I watch this video...oh mah gaw. Oh my god! I thought the video was almost over when you found the path and asked how big is this?! My mouth may never close again.
She is amazing. I wish I could go to her garden.
Wow this yard is amazing. And the knowledge she has of every plant she cares for is stunning
ty for sharing with us Marie’s jungle paradise. Truly amazing.

The last minute was heartbreaking knowing Steve Nock has passed away. What a wonderful video.
“Or they think I’m growing pot.” 😂😂😂😂 It’s ok if you are. Very cool jungle you’ve made there. I’m jealous.
Amazing thank you!
I love talking to all the mature people in our plant club and hearing about their plant experiences. You learn so much more than reading about the plants.

Fantastic! Really glad you thoroughly enjoyed the tour with Marie.
Stunning garden-jungle! I love these kinds of almost wild places. Love the references to Brazilian species and to Harri Lorenzi, a well known and key preservationist and carer of Plantarum Botanical Garden. Cogratulations to Mrs. Marie Nock! ❤❤
Mesmerized by the garden 😍😍😍😍😍.

Ahhh, FL…exactly where I’d love to live & garden. Can’t beat the tropics for growing plants. Marie is so cool…imagine starting to collect plants at such a young age! (I guess she knows the names of all those plants since they’ve been a part of her life for so long. I don’t know that I could remember them all!)
Wow, this lady is fantastic!

Marie has made the World a better place and now our World too. Thanks to all who made this tour, of a jungle paradise possible. I hope that a plant will be named after her, if there isn't one already, in honor of all of her efforts, inspiration and hard work. Have a joyous and prosperous year, of growing in your greenhouse oasis.
