god this fight gave me serious chills. we were evenly matched and it was down to just my starter Letty and up against her last 2 puppets. Letty gets knocked down to critical health from a crit and beats the first with a crit of her own. And right when 4:37 kicked in, she sent out her ace. the entire slow buildup was me trying to recover from the brink and it was the absolute most perfect music synch up i've had in a game and it made me feel so damn awesome for recovering and turning it around to a win

Damn, u lived the dream... I used to have the same circumstance, I got 2 puppet left, my starter Kagerou low on the back and a low puppet on field while shinki's on her last shinki puppet, I decided to full heal my Kagerou and sacrifice my puppet on the field to have an epic last 1 V 1 of my starter and the final boss of the game... Anticlamaticly, turns out Kagerou is highly inneffective against her so.. wasn't even a match, I lost, so that felt shit XD Hearing Ur story, glad u pull yours off. Had to rematch and see the wiki her weakness cos back then I played it all still in JP while translation is just being worked on XD

Better than any encounter in a real pokemon game by far. That background during the battle was cool as hell too.

Well i admit her battle was absolutely challenging and grand but i still don't see it as good as Primal Dialga's final battle or Dark Matter's final battle from Mystery Dungeon series but if we compare this to main series final battles this is more epic.

If you're talking about the actual battle itself, the main story battle can be completely destroyed by a Power Lyrica with the right moves. If we're thinking about the music...it is a good one, but Cynthia's theme though.

Fun fact: with the right moveset, a Power Lyrica can have full SE coverage on first Shinki's entire team in Shard of Dreams. Carry good Illusion and Sound STABs, then for your other two slots, carry Eye of Laplace and Fighting Sign.

I struggled on my way to her and found her easier than the others. Might just be because i had the Perfect comp against her though. Very interesting to have as a final boss though, she doesnt get much screen time in touhou lately anyways.

+StonedDwarfy I kinda struggle to get to her as well only because speed stance is just a bit silly on how its able to take on something 20 levels higher and nearly one shot it.

Koroxa NES Whats funny is that i walked in to the gauntlet after saving without really preparing just to see what would happen. I expected some elite 4 kind of shit like in pokemon, and i thought to myself at every boss "this is it, im fucked". I had very Limited of heals and revives but managed to barely score through With only my Iku or Kasen ever alive. I didnt bealive i could win against shinki on my first try, but Kasen surprisingly one-shot her With a illusion spell. :)

I know hwo you felt also nearly one-shoted her with Reimu cuz most of her time is weak to fighting. XD

She was weak to both Illusion and Fighting i think, so Reimu and Kasen are excelent picks :) I heard the expansion is basically a rehaul of the game. Might wait a bit and then try it out.

The feels when I remember that I blacked out at every attempts against her Lvl 85 Shinki. (I didn't wanted to use items or change my moveset between each attempts) I had trouble bringing to her the puppet I needed to end this since Speed Hijiri basically Outsped everyone and only Sanae and Miko could survive one of her attacks on my team. I was out of trouble once I noticed that Miko could take a Transcend Form from Hijiri and bring Meiling and Sanae to Shinki. (Lvl 79 Speed Meiling's Transcend Form doesn't OS Shinki)

first attempt: barely keep up with Shinki and the match is a climactic showdown between my starter Mima (EX Stance) and her Mima (Power).. or it would have been climactic except her Mima has over ray second attempt: i didn't do super well but atleast i ended up against her mima last with someone who doesn't get evaporated by over ray

Makai trio + Shinki was a real pain, I had to adjust my final team to even get through Yumeko (I even had to change Yumemi's ability to pull a Quick Feet + Toxic Orb strat. Of course, ol' reliable Power Sakuya worked well as my "Get out of the jail" with a powered-up priority move on both fights)

Tenshi: dead of night and waves of earth. It worked only because the enemy did a buff and didn’t one shot my Tenshi instead.

This should be the song that plays when you are fighting a legendary on pokemon

This fight was so stressfull for me i had to use someone resistant to her to revive everyone and used like 150 paste of the fog then i defeated her with chen

I just used NazrinS and KyoukoP and occasionally KoishiA for the paralyze. Kyouko and Nazrin are trucks, for the most part. Plus my other puppets were 20 levels under what they should be, hahah.

If it wasn't for poison trap, I wouldn't have beaten her.

Just get a Shinki as a starter and begin levelling her out (lv100). Then destroy everything in your way.

Totally Clownpiece it's possible that she ended up dieing not long after her fight... We will never know it seems the pc98 games were written out of the cannon, be that as it may it also gives rise to new opportunities the likes of which will be glorious
