Thank you for this!!! I've had my HP laptop for 2 years and usually use a mouse. Just today, I couldn't use the touch pad and noticed the little orange light was on. I watched your video and the FN/f4 or FN/f9 did NOT work. But...when you said to double tap on the touch pad..I can see the little indentation...and it worked!!! Thank you!

Thank you very much! You showed different solutions and actually the simplest was the one that worked for me. I didn't even need to use the FN key, just the F5 (the touch pad/mouse symbol). I just got a Toshiba Satellite 1434 and the touch pad stopped working after I installed Microsoft Office. I appreciate your advice and video very much! I spent almost one hour trying to do what the Toshiba support website suggested to do and nothing was working. Some times the simplest solution is the right one!

Great instructions, just bought a Toshiba Satelite laptop and the touch pad stopped working, I thought brand new, and now it's broken. But now it's working fine thanks to this video, cheers

Thank you so much! My cat waltzed across my keyboard, & then my mouse didn't work. I searched and searched online, then gave up and asked my tech son (who doesn't like to field mom's questions!) I pretty much gave up when he didn't know, and was at least a couple weeks without a mouse (but I do have a touch screen, so it wasn't a total loss.) Then I stumbled across your KZread, and in 30 seconds, my problem is fixed. (F9 on my Asus). Now I'm not going to say "you saved my life" - BUT you have made my life easier. Thanks so much for the time and effort you put into your videos. I have subscribed, by the way.

I was so furious that my pad stopped working that I used a spare mouse that was stored in the house. Within 44 seconds on the video I noticed and icon that was on my F4 and I quickly got enlightened! Thank You! I might have pressed it by accident.

Many thanks. You're the only one that suggested pressing the mouse key alone. In my case F6. All others that I saw, and there were many, suggested combining the Fn key which didn't work.

Glad you up and working, and every laptop is different, so hard to pin point exact key that's why i try and speak on as much as i can.

Hey ! Thank you so much I watched 15 videos and none addressed my problem. of my mouse disappearing.It was the little light on my touch pad that was disabled I had no idea it did that. Took me about 90 minutes to finally find this solution.

Thanks, you made my day. I use a wireless mouse. When typing, I always seem to inadvertently come in contact with the "touchpad". Than I have to clean up a mess!!!
