It's fabulous, touching, thoughtful, delicate. Saw it in Reykjavik last night and highly recommend it.

Finally an Icelandic movie. Hope it goes successful

this the type of movie that makes a man finally able to shed tears again

I just saw it and it's in my oppinion Baltazars all time best work. Very nice movie. Slow burn dramatic love story, but there's always something going on. Good script and well told story. Btw, I had never seen the main actress before. She has the eye's of an angel :)

let me guess, she's dead? he meets her child from another man but they still have the box of trinkets/memories that she saved all these years. hoping this is not the actual ending tho.

Sometimes life gets in the way. Also, 50 years ago everything was on paper. It would have been nearly impossible to track someone that far.

It describes him as a widower so he obviously lost Miku and couldn't find her so he eventually married another woman. After she passes is when the story takes place. I remember a story a few months or a year ago about old international lovers reconnecting after both of them lost their spouses.
