I love how we have the u21's playing ange's exact system. Hopefully it means we'll see a couple of them slot in easily next season if called upon

@@extra6839 Yeah man, You can just see it! lol Look at how high the defensive line is. Look at how high and aggressive the front three press when out of possession. That pressing (by the u21's) creates goals almost identical to some of the ones you see richy or son create, with their similarly aggressive pressing, in the first team. Plus - Check out how the u21 goalie almost-never goes long. He will always pass short if an option is open. That's classic Ange tactics. To always play out from the back, no matter what. Also they line-up in literally the same 4-1-2-3/4-2-1-3 shape (with both fullbacks inverting at times, like the first team ones do too). Its all the same as the first team. I've been watching ange's teams for a decade - and toe-to-tip this sure is a team playing angeball lol. It's cool to see how successful its been for them (the u21's). And sure, maybe the u21's coach asks for different tweaks within the game, to suit a situation, and does the subs etc - but the structure, formation, style and philosophy is the same as ange's. It's really cool. Can't remember if it was an interview at celtic (or could have been spurs or even brisbane) - but Ange has said himself (a few times) that he specifically asks the youth teams to play the same style as the first team. He does it so the kids get familiar with the system they'll play, and skills they'll need, if they make the first team. This is what ange means when he's talking about 'building the team' and 'changing the culture of the club'. It's about having a cohesive playing style - Where it's the same tactical style, and football philosophy, from the first team all the way down to the youths Kinda just makes sense to do, if you think about it.

Absolutely love this, especially as my team Derby aren't doing well in the U21s and so it was nice to see Spurs give our rivals a good shock :)

Next season on we need to have 4 to 5 academy players in the rotation, Devine Donley Veliz Santiago Parrot

Play them in the first team, our first team are scared of playing football. Scared of winning headers or playing forward with any amount of speed. The U21 have actually taken on what Ange wants. The first team lads are doing their own thing.

Is that why they concead the same goals and just as easy, perhaps this system is not good enough and I want spurs to win just as much as anyone but reality kicks in eventually

copying the seniors dreadful defending and only a collapse by forest saved the day ,if there is nobody as good as jhonson or werner in the u21 then spurs are going about this all wrong

THE FOREST U 21S AND THE YOUTH SET UP ARE VERY GOOD BUT WE NEVER BRING ENOUGH THROUGH THAT PLAY AT THE TOP LEVEL THERE ARE EX FOREST ACADEMY PLAYERS ALL OVER THE FOOTBALL LEAGUE BUT NEVER ANY REAL MASSIVE SUCCESS STORIES THERE ARE A FEW OCCASIONALLY BUT IVE SUPPORTED THEM FOR 50 YEARS NOW AND OUR SENIOR TEAM HAVE GOT 3 CUP FINALS NOW TO STAY IN THE PREMIER LEAGUE I REALLY COULDNT HANDLE ANOTHER 20 ODD YEARS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND LEAGUE 1 IN WHICH WE SPENT 3 YEARS THAT WAS A TOUGH TIME AND BUT THE FOOTBALL IS OF A VERY HIGH STANDARD INDEED ♥️🏐🥅⚽⚡
