was at this game with my lil bro, dads got season tix now in the new WHL with my now grown KID bro who wasnt even around then but my other lil bro and i had to sit separately (prob like 14/11yrs old) each and ill NEVER forget the sheer looks of insane excitement we shared - a lotta people dont notice this but it was 1-0 at the half and then there were SEVEN goals scored total in a 20min span before Dmitar got FOUR inlcluding that back to net flick behind the back, we had THREE 20goal scoreers inc berbatov that year (See if you can name the other 2 in the comments, first one gets it)

Berbatov, Keane and Dafoe in the same team? wow that's super entertaining

We had good options upfront in those days, 3 quality strikers in the same squad. It was super entertaining watching them all

was there with my bro as tweens as dad was with the season tix people - but they each scored 20+ goals that year too! thats WILD - i think it was the yr arsenal went fking undefeated tho but fwiw i was at that matchup at the lane too and we were down 1-0 before keano got a PK in extra time to tie it which felt like a win that yr vs arsenal tbh

Darren Bent was the 4th striker and he was decent player too. With the wingers like Malbranque and Lennon it was easy to score.

best game ive ever attended inc. ENG v SPA inthe 96 euro quarters in PK's, Spurs 5-3 NY day win vs a very hot Chelsea in like the 2010s and England over Denmark in Japan for the 02 WC in the round o 16 (3-0 win) or the final (Brazil 2 Germany 1)

Highly entertaining game this was. But got admitted both goal keepers shud of easily saved half them goals and defences were asleep

This was the game I knew it wouldn't work under Juande Ramos.

Was lucky enough to have tickets to this and two other games. Pretty sure we had the 4-4 with Chelsea and beat someone 4-0. What a goal fest that was!

TRIVIA: can anyone name the other two players who got 20goals this year BESIDES the obv Berbatov w friggin FOUR in this one (i was there as a kid and its still the best live game ive seen)

I think Robbie Keane got the same number of goals that season. We scored a stupid number of goals that year, and really shared them around. Yet finished 11th. And won the League Cup! Berbatov though. Have you ever seen player with such good control receiving passes. That second goal in this game shows this, but he’d do it all game. I was gutted when he went to Man U.
