Maine, Vermont, upstate New York and possibly East Indiana or West Ohio
It was cloudy on the Isle of Palms 8/21/17. The clouds literally parted for the show.
I got about 75% of the 2017 eclipse, but this time I'm actually IN the path of totality, so I don't have to go anywhere! I'm looking forward to y'all's live stream starting the morning of April 8th!

I'm in the path too. Avon Lake Ohio. My family will be on my balcony. Streets will be shut down

I'm excited too!😊 I'm in Fort Worth area in Texas. I have a nice clear field no tall buildings across the street from me.
I just canceled my Airbnb outside in Dallas, Texas is completely screwed. Ohio is going to get better viewing.

Good news
I'm driving about 8-10 hours to get into the path. Too bad it'll take 15-20 hours to get home! I think a system building in the west next week will buck the trend in the green/yellow/red historical chart you showed.
The temperature should go down about 10°.
I'll be travelling 2 hours to St Catherine's, Ontario, located on the southwestern shore of Lake Ontario, where according to the forecasts I've seen, the local lake effect will translate into a better chance for clear skies, so I'm remaining hopeful.

I heard rochester New York and the Adirondacks hotels are booked. Already places in New York are calling for emergency cause last eclipse people clogged the road ways. I’ll watch it. Why not? Glasses are 2 bucks.
Here in Florida, we are ready. Let if get cold!
I was in Montana for the 2016 It was not total like in Missouri. But, the temperature did drop significantly

The reason this happens is because the Sun is 400 times larger than the moon and also 400 times further from Earth than the Moon.

Apparently you weren't in the totality zone
On 04/08/0004, exactly 2020 years ago, a solar eclipse occurred in the Roman Empire when Herod died and the baby Jesus was able to return from Egypt with his parents. Flavius Josephus said that Herod died after a lunar eclipse, but lunar eclipse is not a reference.
To be honest, I don’t give a rip. I’ll be at work, too busy to even look out the window. For those interested, enjoy!

Unless your a doctor, nurse , firefighter actively saving someone’s life. Nothing is more important to step outside for 5 mins and appreciate the cosmic ballet that will be displayed for you. I promise if you’re in the path of totality and don’t at least try to see it, you are missing something spiritual and just plain cool. Clear skies

@theresaneely304 I don't want or need their job. I do my own research instead of blindly believing everything I see or hear, and I never said I was better than anyone. Learn comprehension skills and learn the difference between the words than and then.
