Same here. I just can't justify spending hundreds of dollars on a box of cards that's more than likely going to contain nothing interesting or of value. I'd rather just keep buying packs for fun and if I pull something good great, if not I'm not breaking the bank.

You know it’s rough when you pull a top 3 rookie auto and you still can’t come close to breaking even on the box. Ouch.

I can drive to Vegas for $125 in gas round trip and feel better spending $100 in a slot machine than I do buying these.

$225 when the chase card is like $400 is insane

This is why I never buy "high end" products. Better to just buy the cards u want.

Complaining about not getting your money back when buying cards is akin in my eyes as complaining you didn't get your money back from buying $100 in scratch offs...does anyone still fool themselves into thinking this is about collecting and not gambling.

I'd love it if we could get a list of every box you opened during this and the cost and return. Once it's all over. That would be really useful data to check out.

Topps basically just showed their hand here. Here's where we go from here kids....Start hand collating older sets. Start with the junk wax Era and move back. Enough with these high dollar boxes with all the junk autos and relics.

This series really shows you where the money is at between different sets. Great STUFF!! 💸💸

So much money for 2 cards? And there's not even a guarantee that even 1 card will be a "good" one. No. Thank. You. If I'm going to gamble on an auto I'll just wait for Archives retired and hope for a Hall of Famer for about $80-90 rather than $225-250 for this stuff. Yuck.

Your honesty is great. A lot of KZreadrs would try to pump up some of these products.

Market is watered down with too many "high end" and flood of low number autos. They just aren't that special anymore with the mass amounts of product out there.

I bought a Hunter Green auto from this for $20 from my LCS. I didn't even have to buy a box. 🤣

The prices are high because tons of people keep paying more and buying larger quantities. The only way the prices go down is if we stop buying

Philips buy in was $675 for three boxes. Brutal outcome at $177 made for such high end boxes. This one was a $498 loss ……holy crap! Now that’s gambling!

Imagine paying $225 and getting a Chapman and a Vierling… woooooooaaahhhh buddy!!!! 😂

I‘ll never buy a box in which you receive less than 10 cards ever again after Topps Chrome Black. Terrible product, and it seems that any product that contains a couple of cards is always terrible. I’m not against high end products, as I have gotten some of my best cards from them, but I am against genuine lottery ticket boxes like Five Star.

High end boxes are usually lovers. The cards look great but you seldom get your money back

This product should be labeled one auto and a throwaway. The first auto in each box was hot garbage. Only the second card held any real value (in some instances). Pricing on these need to be adjusted in the future or they are gonna sit collecting dust once people wise up.

You make a very valid point… especially for boxes that are $200+ or only contain less than 5 cards in a “box”

If these are 5 stars, I'd hate to see the 1 star boxes.

Mr.Jabs thank you for this series i enjoy it tremendously. I always knew you had integrity and these types of videos just confirms it. I would love for you to one day as a experiment, buy $250 worth of a single $10 scratch off product and compare the return with a $250 box of topps mlb cards. scratch off vs baseball cards. You are the best Mr.Jabs!

I'm feeling like I'm gonna puke after that video. Absolutely trash cards. As a Tigers fan I'm hoping the the Zack Short and Matt Vierling cards can get some real value some day.

I can't even imagine how much money has been wasted on the cases of series 1 jumbo opened in the last week or more...yet you keep them.comming...

I only ever buy retail or ebay for the hits I want.

Hey Jabs! I know you do consignment auctions for cards. Is a consignment with some cards but also authenticated auto jerseys and auto baseballs something you’d be willing to do? Not 100% sure I want to do that yet, but I am thinking of selling someone of my autographed memorabilia and my cards. @@JabsFamily Ok cool! I’ll let you know. I’ve only been collecting again for a few years, but I do have a 2001 Bowman’s Best J-Rod auto and a 2021 Topps Update Black Gold parallel Mike Trout 10/10. I think some of the auto jerseys and baseballs I have are awesome, but but probably my favorite is my Ichiro auto baseball.

Should have auctioned 1 of the boxes unopened.

Cause people love to gamble, this is all that this kind of product is. People have zero problem spending $250 on 2 cards with the faint hope they might pull a $1K hit.

Card collecting should be a hobby for more people than those that can drop 2k on a 2 card pull you know but I guess that’s too convenient for consumers

I can't be the only one who just absolutely can't stand the look of five star. Not sure why but I just don't like the look at all. Love the video series though

That product hasn't been good based on all of the other breaks.

I wish you wouldn't put in the Titles good or bad things about the pulls. It takes the surprise factor away. I don't even watch videos that say Huge Pull! or something as it takes the surprise away. same when nothign is pulled, why would I watch if you are already telling me it's terrible. I'll just keep walking
