TOTAL COELO - I EAT CANNIBALS
Музыка
Known in the USA as "TOTAL" Coelo (to avoid confusion with the pop band "TOTO") and most everywhere else as "TOTO" Coelo. Although it charted better than my personal favorite song of theirs, "Milk From The Coconut", I liked the video for "I Eat Cannibals" better. Here's some fun trash-bag fashion from the early '80's... Enjoy!

Definitely NOT a waste. I think we all did that...lol.
I grew up listening to this on a tape that my mom saved! I couldn't remember the words but had this as an earworm that comes and goes for A YEAR until I heard it in Young Sheldon coincidentally! THANK GOD.
When I was very young... Maybe 8 or 9, my class was just... Selected to be the 'dance group' to represent my school. None of us were dancers. We had to have high school kids come and teach us choreography. It was this song and they based all the moves on this video clip. I have no idea why. This took place in the mid to late 90s,but this is what they chose. The girls were tribal cannibals and the boys were dressed up as explorers and we hunted them, stalked them and cooked them in the choreography. It was great.
I grew up in LA in the 80s listening to Richard Blade on KROQ and watching MV3 after school...this reminds me SO much of that great era. Even if some of the songs are cheesy they still stick in my head today after all these years.

”How shall we comfort ourselves, the cannibal of all cannibals? What was holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet owned has bled to death under our knives: who will wipe this blood off us? What water is there for us to clean ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we have to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we ourselves not become gods simply to appear worthy of it? There has never been a greater deed; and whoever is born after us -- for the sake of this deed he will belong to a higher history than all history hitherto."

I love it. A music snob that has to come here and tell all of us how superior his/her listening tastes are. The 80s were full of acts with lesser talent, but at least they went out and took advantage of the visual explosion in music and entertained many in the process. (They did something)

Hilariously awkward and FUN! The 80's new wave fashion and sound were great! Thanks for sharing! LOVE!
I love songs that are euphemisms. Something fun about a song having layers.
The 80s were full of fun stuff like this. I had forgotten this, but it is really funny., and brilliant.
We had epic novelty songs in the 80s :D
We were so innocent back then. Not anymore.
This video couldn't be more 80s if it tried. Great stuff!

I know most people believe their era of music was the best, and that in reality there's good and bad in all era's, but I do believe that we had more of the good stuff in the early eighties, and we certainly had plenty of fun songs like this.
I just remembered this song. My cousin sang it back in the 80s. I never really heard it until now.
