Wow! Blessed again by an awesome stream from Wintergaming! ❤ Thanks again! Regarding getting better FPS. We've discovered that BAR REALLY loves CPUs with high 3D cache. The Ryzen 7950X3D CPU with an GTX 4070 GPU seems to chew to almost anything BAR throws at it. We've seen people recording 4K footage in end-game 6000+ units above 60+ fps non-stop.

Feell comfortable with 12400f and 2060super, when end game 6000 units 20-30fps and this setup is like 1/5 of the price above. Just in case somebody wants money/performance budget machine. you don't need super good cooling or expensive power supply for this neither the expensive motherboard.

Your videos led me to discovering BAR. Love the TA/SupCom subgenre of rts. It's always been the direction (grand scale) I wanted RTS to go when hardware got better.

@@fibonacci112358steve Basically, it was a cheap and too effective strategy. One player going T2 and then giving Consuls to teammates who then proceed to spam Hounds. Hounds are quite fast and really effective in packs. So they removed the hound for the Consuls, and swapped it with the Welder. It avoids people rushing too soon.

@@fibonacci112358steve consuls too good when they can build a good all round t2 unit. like, just share consuls to team. everyone on the team gets access to a decent t2 unit without having to invest nearly 3k metal for a t2 lab. the game devolved into a meta of feed techer metal to buy consul. which wasnt very fun just having hound battles every game. same thing is happening with mausers. although thats a bit more map dependant.

​@fibonacci112358steve quick tech handing out consuls was causing problems since they're cheap enough to be made on a t1 economy, while being a good all rounder unit that's also particularly good against t1.

@@TheSometimeAfter well that is a true statement. But those resources would be much better spent on something else to counter the threat imo. Air just isn't great at killing land units imo

40:35 what is this thing where someone force someone else out ? Why ? Happened to me yesterday, for my first game vs human players I joined a noob game and basically got kicked out without any reason.

it was originally used to get rid of afk players. but now it it also used to kick out new players from a more experienced lobby, and sometimes people just vote y to things without knowing what they vote for. although you say you joined a noob lobby so i dont really know what happenend with that.
