Thank you so much for pointing that out. I would have guessed he was a genius just improvising. He's awesome as an innovative player, but the lack of off the cuff things are so way off in the opposite direction. This is the reason for the utter lackluster performances in the G? videos. I do admire his skill though.

I'm pretty sure the tapping at 10:50 is based off some of the ideas from the song Thoughts Dictate Reality by his old band Reflux.

I'm amazed by his skill. He is truly someone who can walk in to buy a guitar, sit down with it, and really test it for his own sound, style, and music. And make it sound different than a large majority of artists. I would be impressed if I was selling him a guitar and he sat down played like this.

I wasn't really sure about how good Tosin Abasi was until I saw this video. He knows his way round the fretboard amazingly well. Not to mention those chords he's going back and forth to and from are ridiculous. He's making sounds like a harp at one point, and that takes some serious control. Props to Tosin Abasi.
This guy's chordal repertoire is phenomenal, he just pulls all of that out of his ass

I've always thought this about Tosin. I understand that he's about double my age, but even then I don't think I'll be able to know and play flawlessly so many chords, especially all the 9th, 7th, diminished stuff that he can just get into with no thought.

Some of those riffs Tosin's playing in the vid makes me wish he would change it up a LOT on the next album and play some stuff like that. I loved both albums so far, but I would love to see him completely change it up. I'm feeling the same way about Periphery these days. That guitar is awesome by the way.

To hear him improve always motivates me to better my playing even if it's no on guitar. Love him :)
