Someone long ago: It's not possible to shred thousands of notes a minut on an electric guitar and convey ANY kind of artistic expression let alone feeling. Tosin (years later) : Hmm...

People have been shredding hundreds of BPM for centuries. Bluegrass, classical violins had exhibition pieces, middle eastern strings.

today i went to guitar center and picked up my first 8-string guitar. At first i was stumped, its a completely different feel from a 6-string. But then I channeled my inner tosin abasi and it felt so good. If you've never see Animals as leaders live you are missing such a great show he is absolutely amazing

Can you imagine being able to time-travel Mozart and showing him the sheet music for this? Then explain electricity and the electric guitar, and then sit him in front of this live performance.

I'm a drummer myself and I totally understand your feelings lol. It took me a good while to get my head round AAL's music in general, without even worrying about learning and/or playing some songs, and I have a background of studying Thomas Lang/Virgil Donati/etc. for the past 5+ years. Even if I'll never be able to learn something (I'd say this song is learnable for me on drums, although the 15/8 section starting at 2:50 will be super hard to get down, and the first section before the 5/8 theme starts will be awkward to learn note perfect), it inspires me to know that this stuff is out there and that people are pushing the envelope, compared to the crap that most of today's pop music is :)
