whenever I hear Alagna's version it always gives me goosebumps!

I love how he sings this. He follows the vocal line perfectly. There is no ham in the performance and does try to do too much than what is already there. That is how you sing this. Well done sir.

Oddio bravo è una parola grossa, come son lontani i tempi quando Cavaradossi lo interpretavano Franco Corelli ,Mario del Monaco, Nicolai Gedda, Beniamino Gigli, tanto x fare due nomi, ma i tempi son cambiati e dobbiamo accontentarci di quel che passa il convento.😬

Remember he and Kaufman are mic-ed. I saw Tucker and Corelli in the early 70's . No mic . Their voices filled the house. Also those who say he's no good. Have you ever stood on the stage and had to deliver ?

You should reed the begining this is the FINAL REHERSAL you never go on 100% especially when it's the final one- because it is moustly a day before the SPECTACL. If you eve stood on the stage you should be aware of this procedure . ( sorry for my gramar ) . And come on CORELLI seriously ? The guy was a fucking TERMINATOR nobody had his Power .even Pavarotti would have a dificult time in competting with this "Titan" .& TUCKER I seriosly don't know that gay ( so no coments on this one) .

Bravo, sicuramente, ma tuttavia non paragonabile per esempio a Jonas Kaufmann, che ne dà un'interpretazione più profonda, più sensibile; attento non solo a "cantare bene" ma anche a "far parlare" il testo molto bene. Il risultato è molto diverso...

La lingua italiana necessita di espressività, faccio un esempio: "Oggi andrò al mare!" e "Oggi andrò al mare?" Sono scritti allo stesso modo ma con espressività completamente differente.

well this was a good performance. not like the one where he was bad, and god booed off stage.

Звук не летит, присутствует значительная тряска голоса, ему как будто петь сложно. Ещё и «а» вывалил в конце.... Вывод: уходите со сцены вовремя!

Плохо. Для вокалиста его уровня. Слишком напряжено, нет полетности, зато в начале есть назальность. Вся ария в его исполнении звучит очень неровно и особенно дребезжат верха... ((

Not bad but his high notes lack that ringing clarity of the true legends like Lanza, Pavarotti, Bjorling etc etc....

Björling certainly does not belong into the group of ringing high note -tenors. Names like Corelli,del Monaco, Tucker,Pavarotti etc.and nowadays Kaharan represent that group.

I'm certainly no expert but if you want to apply the epithet 'ringing' to any tenor then Bjorling is the first that comes to mind,incomparable.
