Those tracks on the Massey are actually pontoons. Designed to provide flotation to go over the wettest swamps. They were designed by Finnish company called Suokone Oy after one of their specially built Suokko swamp tractors got bogged to the roofline in Sweden. These are clearly designed for flotation, not traction. Tractors like this are used to power PTO driven implements, not to pull them.

Good question, there are a few metal bands from there that I really like.

Nah, the tracks were far enough forward, it's more a case of the tines on the tracks not being able to get grip in the mud, could have made them bigger, but then he would also damage the ground more. Ah well, it's not fun if you don't get stuck.

Wouldn't it be better if it had 4 swinging arm track/tanks that way the front ones could be trying to climb the bank (nearly vertically - if necessary) whilst the rear ones were pushing.

If you pause the video before they get clogged, you'll see it has them

To start with I don't think that Massy was big enough to run tracks that big lol. Least pulling anything, just thinking maybe thats a 140-180hp tractor?

Pausing the video, there are cleats on the tracks. The video quality makes it hard to see and in the last clip where it got stuck, they were clogged
