This part used to be legendary. Before all the "Do not grab wall signs". We would line up and wait for the water to drop, hold your breath and get literally catapulted under water for like 30 seconds. Tuck and roll. I almost drowned one time when I was thrown under a sea of tubes, flipped a old lady over just so I could get air. Great times.

i just went yesterday for my first time. it was so fun. tons of people still hang on that wall, waiting for the biggest wave. then you jump infont and your legs get swept under you, you go spinnging underwater. its a great time still. cant wait to go again.

@@Herzogspottings It's been 15-16 years since I was last there. That drop used to have blue walls and was bigger. Glad people still do that though, I can understand why they lowered the amount of water they dropped for safety reasons, but man it was fun. Was almost like a tradition lol. I'll get around going again some day. Glad you enjoyed it! NB is easily the best Schlitterbahn to go to.

I miss going on this ride and jumping into the raging waters🥺

It is a beautiful park. I love it so much with many trees

It's crazy how many people call the tube chutes at Schlitterbahn lazy rivers..The only lazy river there is called crystal river in Surfenberg area..The others like cliffhanger, raging river,and whitewater are not lazy..In fact just the opposite with drops and strong current..💟

I should be back too. Miss Texas’s waterpark. Make sure bring extra sunscreen. The heat there was strongggg

This is the one at New Braunfel. May be they have the same one in Galveston. I have never been there. Hopefully get enough budget to explore that park soon :)
