nice concept sir....................

it can be very easily explained by conservation of angular momentum we can say that the torque due to gravity would have a torque acting in the left direction whereas the motors are rotating at the clockwise direction hence there torque would be in the right direction by using the right hand thumb rule , and hence we can say the net torque would cancel out each other and hence the system is in equilibrium and you can see the floating rope, but when the motor direction is reversed instead of cancelling the torque it would add on to the torque acting due to gravity and the rope would fall down with some acceleration more than gravity

The both torques , gravitational and mechanical would work together thus the anguler momentum as well as velocity would increase

If rotation is reversed then string will not become horizontal because torque and gravity about the point will act in same direction the it will fall down

Sir, iska ek aur bhi explaination ho sakta hai ki.. The point where the motor is in contact with the string the, force on the string will be 2 times the force of friction between them, kyunki it is friction between them jo ki use torque de Rahi hai.. Now as the velocity of the string will be very high, as mass of string taken is slow, hence they don't fall towards earth as the speed is high, also the end point is loose as the tension is now in opposite to dirn of motion of string..

In practical condition when the rotation of motor is reversed the the string will be gathered near the switch because when it was rotated in forward direction the string had a clear path

not exactly. The torque produced will act towards the right.(Torque= RxF, F is downward, R is perpendicular to it, therefore torque can only act to the left or right.) Since the torque applied is on the right, The rotation of the string reverses, and the string will fall down, on the right side of it, whereas the left side due to tension produced by torque will straighten
