That's the number 1 mistake most make with torps myself included as seen on my first set of torps. That's why they disappear just before catching an enemy

That was fun to watch. Recently started using torpedoes at tier 2. Turning a lightly armored, low hit point ship, broadside to the enemy at close range seems crazy but it's so satisfying when the torps hit.

Yeah it can be fun to torp people and it gives you a rush while stalking your prey knowing you have to get close!

Okay First off You got like 6 citadel hits on that Phoenix b4 you switched to torps, thought you were gonna outgun him for a moment..... Second, can you teach me the art of beaching yourself and then not getting focused fired instantly, I've breached myself 3 times in destroyers and I got full salvos each time lol Neptune and Poseidon love you

Was going to skip this vid because fancied myself a decent destroyer guy, but glad I didn't. I had no clue you could change the spread on the torpedoes. Great vid!!

Wow!!! What an ending definitely just earned a subscriber. Just starting this game and even though I'm not very good at it I'm enjoying it.

You were right, I did laugh at the ending. As I wrote to clone guy, you don't crash or as you put it correctly beach yourself, I like to think of it as more of a "tactical emergency stop" lol. Well played btw gg.

Great match! You inspired me to give this ship a go so, first time out got a serious paddlin, but the second time out sunk 4 ships and did 76k damage. Keep up the good work!

Glad I could help! Welcome to The Channel and to the Game! Don't rush through the tiers as you may get discouraged at high tiers if you try to get there to quickly and never sell any ships! Grind out the silver! You'll thank me when you're out of silver and your favorite ship is sitting in port waiting for repairs.

Good video, I am having a hard time learning how to use the torps but this gives some nice pointers. Glad I'm not the only one that drives boats that like to beach themselves.

On pc, they call beaching yourself a Notser after a CC for WoWs PC who beaches himself frequently. Btw, with the American destroyers, they've got centerline mounted torpedoes starting with the Farragut at tier 4.

Learning alot from watching your WWS videos. Awesome job. Will be looking for you on XBOX.

Very nice. One thing though. Ap in destroyers is nearly useless.

Against lightly armored cruisers that are broadsiding at close range is ok but other than that, no.

Well played. At the end, I think the Isizuchi player made a worse set of mistakes. Not by missing at the key moment either. Coming in tight around the corner like that, when he KNEW a torpedo-armed DD was there, and getting his BC close in with ANY destroyer.

My second day on w.o.w. and I'm still at tier 1 in all cruisers. I have earned over 6.2 bill in credits but I'm apprehensive to try Destroyers. I do think playing World of Tanks has helped me out. I'll try out your tier 3 Destroyer. Good video and very helpful.

US destroyers are not really torpedo attackers. Especially at lower tiers. Designated gunboats. Most US destroyers have awrsome guns, and will 9 out of 10 times win a gunfight against destroyers from other nations. But their torps ... MEH! Crappy as attacking weapons. Japanese destroyers er stelathy as fxxk, and have longer range torpedoes. Their guns a ... okay? I guess ... but craplow reload compared to other nations. But should you go IJN destroyers ... learn your detectability ranges and torpedo ranges for torpedo delivery from stelth. RN destroyers are the hybrid between the two. Their torpedoes also have the ability to be launched one at the time.Precision targetting. Also remember to slow the fxxk down to around 12.5 kt. in order not to outsail your own smokescreen, if you’re using it as cover for yourself. Remember ... RN destroyer smokescreens are very shortlived nd is mostly useful as ‘get out of Dodge”- solution.

Yes if a enemy is within 3 km of your ship AI will fire the secondary batteries at them as far as I know secondaries always fire HE

I think beaching yourself actually damages you a little, I had a smidgen of health in a destroyer then backed into a island and boom! So be careful when beaching yourself with low health. Gg spartan . ✌

The British destroyers have tube by tube meaning u can ripple fire them to bad they don't have any higher tier cruisers other then tier 3

As a main torpedo player, i can tell you got lucky. Maybe because low tier. In the best tiers you are going to get wrecked if you get close to anyone, best torpedo destroyer is the one that stays out of sight, only fire guns if you encounter another dd lighting you up.

I would like to know how the ships make Them self disappear it was a good radio though

I still don’t know what makes you choose the HE explosive rounds or the AP rounds. I can’t decide wich one to use in what kind of situation.

If you're not getting damage with AP switch to HE or if targets are super light armored such as destroyers

I have had an absolutely insane game a while ago in the Ishizuchi, it’s too much to explain but one part at the end it was just be and a destroyer, I was at 80 hp, anything that hits me would kill me, he missed 10 torps, one would’ve killed me, right before I killed him and won the game, he shot an AP round at me and it bounced, yes it bounced, I heard it, if that would’ve penetrated or over penned it would’ve killed me but it bounced

I had this happen to me on wot I was in a m7 priest only one alive on my team the opposite team had only an m7 priest left we both missed our shots and rammed each other and both died. Classic war gaming endings

Not at this time. From what I've heard they are waiting to see how the PC cv rebalance goes before deciding to bring then in or not

Also remember torpedos need a second or two to arm so don’t go right up close to the enemy otherwise nothing happens
