I had to pause it on my computer so I could really enjoy it on our large screen TV downstairs. Thanks for the relaxed paced of the commentary and the beautiful shots and videos! A friend and I are planning to fly from Vancouver to St. John's, buy motorbikes, ride our way back to the West coast (cheaper than shipping motorbikes there) -- plus we can sell the bikes when we're back.

@@OurRetiredLife We did a lovely East Coast trip with my family a few years ago -- our mid teen girls were pretty excited about Anne so we spent most of our time in PEI. This motorcycle trip will be more of an overview of Canada -- my wife and I are planning to go to Newfoundland together later and spend more time. The reality of the West coast is that it is cheaper to fly into the US and to Hawaii than it is to fly to parts of Canada.

There are a couple of places in Ontario where we see motorcycles all the time. 1) Forks of the Credit Road (very windy and beautiful), and 2) Port Dover, Ontario. A HUGE gathering every Friday the 13rh, but we see many any time we pass by there.

I absolutely loved the place and do indeed want to go back. With parts of my wife's family there we even considered moving or having a summer place there, just because. The biggest draw back is our Ontario home. We don't feel we can leave it empty and unattended that long. Which yes brought up moving all together.??? but winter in NFLD can be brutal. Something to think about.

Aww thank you so much. I guess I sound a little different because I was raised speaking only Greek at home, and English only at school and with friends. There's surely something very megical about Newfoundland. We're not even from there and I feel a little homesick to go back haha! Thank you for your sweet comments :)

Just found your channel! I’m am so impressed. This trip to NovaScotia ,Newfoundland is a trip Iv wanted to do for years ! Now years have passed ,I’m older but still haven’t done this road trip , yet it’s still in my heart to do . Your video is exactly what I wanted to do . Do they allow you to park and camp just anywhere? This is exactly my idea of travel . I do see now your doing travel in a van ! I wish I had a copy of your notes done on this one💖👏👏👏.

Hi Joann, thank you for your kind comments. I have actually documented much of the trip, including the places we camped on my blog: yula.ca/eastern-canada/ Camping is not allowed 'just anywhere', we were mostly in remote areas, or parking lots that allowed overnight parking. We used an app on our phone called 'iOverlander' to find spots. I do hope you can travel soon, pictures and videos just do not do it justice.

Awesome video! Thanks for sharing. This is come home year in NFLD and my wife being born there was anxious to go, but circumstances this year makes the trip more difficult, but we are planning for next season. We were there a couple of years ago staying with family but flew, which is not the same as driving. As the driver, I know that most of what your video shows is what I will only get glimpses of, but as watching your video, I took a second and told my wife she may have a hard time getting me home again. lol I was assuming your Hubby did the driving and if that is wrong, my apologizes, but then the driver should really take a good long watch of your video so he /she can see what they missed, while watching the road. Again thank you for sharing. Since i will be waiting a few more months for our trip, watching yours was very nice.

Safe travels and enjoy your retirement!

@@OurRetiredLife some places we went just don’t have any campgrounds. For example, St Vincent Beach in NFLD is whale watching and sea bird heaven in mid July. We stayed right at the beach for three days both trips. It is a somewhat remote area. The same for finding icebergs. Some are in remote areas.

The food, the people, Or just being free to go where you want when you want? They have some cold cold winters. Iv been to the larger citys up there, and found that most people speak both French and or English. i never realised theres so many words in the English that derived from the french! like Lavatory, perfume, jail, and lots more!
