Hi Jeff, that’s old news haha , I am now at 56,672miles. And purchase date was Oct 21st 2018. 14 months ownership. I love this car. As for the issues. I post most of the info in my 1 year anniversary video. But here is some quick info. All under warranty, 2 horns yes it was fixed and then same issue happened 5 months later , driver side - side camera replaced , turn signal stalk replaced , rear passenger tail light replaced and then again 4-5 months later replaced again. and a few other little things. Not under warranty, windshield cracked and replaced, big rock. Truck tire rubber fell off and I could not avoid it and it did damage to my bumper and the fog light. Bumper has some scuffs but the light I replaced. Other than that, tires replaced but that is normal. Brakes still 50 plus percent.

Hopefully they stop pulling the pin before we plug in. The one at Patomac Mills mall is even worse than this and St. Augustine where the pin disappears before you can see the station, it sends you driving away from the chargers!

I am watching this in 2022 so maybe the technology is much better but watching your video has turned me off buying electric. Way to long sitting and charging. I can meet people along the way if I wish but gas and go sure beats sit and wait and hope the chargers are working. Having said that good for you and the wife to do things your way and there is nothing wrong with that.

Sit and wait on long travels or daily? Just want to be clear on what you meant? Because daily commute I never wait. I plug in at night sleep and wake up to a charger car. Road trips. Gas and go? I road trip many times a year and before the Tesla it was in a gas car that I could get 700km easy. I will take the EV all day everyday and 281,000km as of today shows it. Road trips wait and charge is good because I can pee and eat.

Teslas are great in all but they fact that you Always have to keep charging and plan out your trip that way is a huge disadvantage... In a few years they will quadruple the battery capacity so I don't understand why everyone is rushing out buying Teslas now just wait a bit..

Hi James, we did 2450km in well under 30 hours. We stopped at many places to do the “tourist thing”. I have made the trip 3 times back and fourth in my Model 3 and over 10 times in a ICE car and as you can see in my videos and I can tell you straight up. I much prefer to do it in an EV. I am much more relaxed and less stressed as when I did it in the GAS car. Sure in my BMW I could get 600km per tank as opposed to 500km in my Tesla but once again less stress. You do not need to “plan out” your trip. You put your destination and it tells you where the charges are, when and where you need to charge etc. 14 months and 97k km. I can definitely attest that traveling is NOT an issue. May I ask you, have you ever been in a Tesla ?
