It really is!
Those colourful homes along Woodbine were originally called the painted lady’s by the developer.

Hi Rabah: I live in Windsor, Ontario Canada. I would love to move from this city because there are not many full time employment opportunities in this city. The downtown area in this city is DISGUSTING (homeless people living there, destroying businesses and begging for money, drug addicts, etc.) The downtown is supposed to be the heart of the city NOT a hostel for homeless people and drug addicts destroying downtown businesses. I hope you enjoy Montreal.

@@bnice8940 Hello
Hello, just watched this and I was dumbfounded to realize you missed such a KEY FACT in that the site of those colorful houses where Lakeshore Blvd. East bends north to Woodbine, was the original Woodbine Horse Race Track. You definitely missed a huge one here, yikes
Miss them!
Great quality video, thank you!
The border goes across Dundas, not queen Street. Then up Kingston to Vic Park
Mbak yang Cantik,videonya bagus sekali.
It's too bad this neighborhood can't be replicated it's practically illegal with today's NIMBYS and zoning laws, we could have more of this but unfortunately there's just too much interested in keeping the status quote
unfortunately since pandemic most Nickle shops shut down
I used to think that i want to live and die there rest of my life .. I want to go back there ...is there anybody who can invite me?

Hi Glen: I want to move back to the GTA. I moved from the GTA to Windsor, Ontario and WHAT a BIG MISTAKE!
1.4M is waaaaaay too much

That probably includes row housing and semidetached. A single dwelling will cost you far more. If you are American keep in mind that the price is in Canadian dollars. Recently, on my street, semis have gone for as much as 2.5 million. Toronto is one of the most livable cities in the world. Canadian immigration is high. New houses are tough to build. The Beaches is a very nice neighbourhood.

what do you call people who swim in lake ontario ? .....tourists
And this video helps destroy it .. btw it's spelled Kew. The decadent heritage building is laughable. Poorly maintained rental apartments in an area known for bed bug and cochroach infestations run by slum landlords charging exhorbident rents .You forgot to mention the daylight shootings on Queen St and the gangs that regularly turn up on civic holiday's now taking over the beach and boardwalk having firework wars and terrorizing the local neighborhood with shootings and stabbings. . . New condo buildings, 24 fast food chains and over crowding with people camping out on the beach and parks make living unbearable for locals . This video appears to have an agenda advertising and profiting from destroying this once beautiful neighbourhood which unfortunately has been underway for some time .. along with the rest of Toronto.

Really sorry to hear that! The purpose of the video is to highlight the great areas around Toronto that potential home buyers could move to or learn about. We love Toronto The Beaches has always been good to us.

Hi, Tilly. Your commentary is welcome to me as another view. However, I don't see it the way you do. I affirm that the video is an overstatement of the many good qualities of the neighbourhood. I still think of myself as being very lucky to be living here. Living in the Beaches is far from "unbearable" for this local. I have been here for about 43 years.

@@FrankMahovlich After 43.years I think you are living in major denial and in another 30 years if still alive you would be in agreement unless you are a profiteer.. I've lived here 32 years and am neither blind or naive to the deliberate destruction of this once beautiful city including our neighbourhood. But opinions are not exclusive , yet.
Im so exhausted, I was literally looking for the nbhd the beach and this pops up, fun fact I wanted to live in Canada but I know I never will. It's just tiring how anytime in real life or social media, someone, something is always talking ab canada or anything related to it, man I get reminded of this every single day of my life I wanna kms lmao.
