That GMC with the 6.2 would’ve been your best choice of vehicle. I had a 6.2 for 4 years and I could get 18-22 mpg on the highway and it was fast and could pull just about anything you put behind it

Flair you can always do the def delete on the ram sometime so that you don’t have to add def fluid!! Plus by deleting the def will also help with fuel economy for sure!!! I have maybe done a def delete on a Duramax and it definitely helped with the fuel economy for sure!!!

​@That1trapshooter not true at all ... tons of problems since they came out ... a lot of bugs worked out since then but still the worst of the 3 ... I was a service writer at a Dodge dealer ... but a big problem with any diesel is that if they aren't used for the intended purpose they are problem child's ... many people that got a "little diesel" just drive it short distances and don't haul and they don't have a chance to regen so the dpf fills up clogs and costs over $2k to repair

I've seen a ram with 600,000 on it that when it stops reading the miles so it probably has 700,000

big ford guy and i owned one of those twin turbos, they are wicked fast and highway passing monsters but they were also famous for dropping the timing chains after 100,000 miles so i would hesitate to recommend them

Take the eco diesel and put a fresh Cummins 4BT crate engine in it. That’s what flair needs to do 🔥😂

At least Lucky to get there without the rod bearings, and main bearings going, crank breaking, egr issues, and camsprocket/ timing issues, as well as trans. Issues. Our shop sees these often.

@@hunterharlow93 We are buying 2 more next week. And looking for any used ones we can find. Only issue we have had was the one with 317k had to put a rear end in it. And one we had 20k lbs behind it and pulled it 20 miles and fuel pump explodes

You got the best of the four choices for the money. The wheel did you right! I’ve got a Ram, 135,000 miles…great truck. Service and maintenance as suggested, and it will take care of you.

You can buy a vault box that is made for the bottom center console for your pews. It’s pretty badass

I had an eco diesel and I loved it didn’t use much def unless I was pulling with it and I pulled a lot of weight with no problem. Never had any problems with it.

Always a good day when you post, also you should get a bunch of old tires and stack them into a pig pile as structure for the pond.

What year was the ram? I think they lowballed you if they only offered 26k for a truck that probably cost 40-80k

I own a 2022 Eco Diesel 4wd Rebel and it is fantastic. Gets almost 30mph. Don't listen to the haters. The problem with the eco diesel is it gets great mileage so everyone bought them to drive short distance and then the injectors got clogged up. They are made to drive longer distance. They do have a recall on them and I would get that done. The best thing you can do is delete the DEF system and all the emissions. One guy on YT did this to his and he swears he gets 30+ mpg towing his bass boat.

I have an 2011 Ford Taurus SHO AWD with the ecoboost. With precision twin turbo upgrade. Pushing 300k miles. Besides for putting different turbos, exhaust and tune on it. Rest is stock. Love my ecoboost. But, i also work on a lot of ecoboost. Most push them 10k+ miles between oil changes and cause issues.

good engine on that dodge as long as you keep up with service, and at least the gearbox wont go all the time

I have a 2015 ecodiesel. I've had it for over a year now, and It's been great to me.

The way they set them twin turbos from factory is that you have a smaller turbo to build boost for the low end and then when you get to a certain RPM the second turbo that is slightly bigger then kicks in.. You will never feel both of them unless they are the same size...
