i live in Hendersonville and my neighbors saw the tornado. thankfully it went south of vietnam vets highway near our house but sadly hit west main. that is where the majority of the damage was. Literally right after it happened i drove down west main and it was horrible. I had never seen such bad damage in person

I used to visit Hendersonville when I had family living there, I have family in Gallatin as well. I had chills down my spine when I saw the video taken from the Vietnam vets exit since I actually knew that area in relation to Hendersonville. Glad it wasn't worse for Hendersonville and Gallatin.

We were doing a showing of a play that I was in, and because of my convincing we cancelled that nights performance as to not gather many people in a place that could get dangerous. The emergency was issued when we would've been performing, and me, the director and assistant director were there and we're a sharp turn off of losing the building and our lives. It was so eerie outside and when I heard emergency we immodestly went downstairs to avoid it. No damage to the theater and we had an extra performance for those who missed it (sold out before) Tl;dr we were close to the tornado

The Autauga county one was a rough day for us in Alabama. While the Marbury area didn’t get the worst of the damage (or any fatalities), the entire area I grew up in is unrecognizable to this day. This tornado missed my childhood home by maybe a few hundred yards. County road 68, which I used to drive all the time when I was in high school, is still a mess. I remember watching this monster from Prattville that day. I have friends and former neighbors that lost everything from this storm. Can’t tell you how many trees I cut down or cut up after that storm. Mostly trees blocking driveways or too dangerous to leave standing due to the damage they incurred. I think the most frustrating part of this was talking with people who survived the storm and how many people flat out ignored the warnings. This storm had already dropped a tornado on Selma an hour earlier in the day. The warning lead time was more than adequate to warn people. This area had a lot of mobile homes. Either way, I’m glad it wasn’t worse and I think it opened a lot of people’s eyes that not every warning is a false alarm

The Rolling Fork, Amory, Little Rock and Robinson,IL Tornado ranks are real But For Anyone Wanting to Know that the out break on the 24th Both the Rolling Fork and Amory Tornadoes are inaccurate in terms of their actual Strength Rolling Fork well it Should have been Ranked EF5 because of the Damage at a Flower Shop and A nearby tree being completely debarked and the Amory Tornado was a tornado that the NWS Believes had 200+ mph Wind but since it had Little impact and didn’t hit downtown at its peak intensity it couldn’t be ranked as Such and The Robinson IL tornado and the Little Rock tornado were considered low end EF4 but damage couldn’t rank it as Such

@@DiscoDeacy I know that, but come on though. That's like saying the El Reno Tornado "EF3" downgrade was warranted. That thing had estimated winds of 300+ MPH. That is NOT an EF3, because if it hit a residential neighborhood, there would be no neighborhood left. I hate the damage-only rating system. It doesn't do justice to the strength of tornadoes. There needs to be a revision. El Reno 2013 was EF5, Mayfield KY was EF5, Rolling Fork MS was EF5, and there's probably a couple others. It's like they're afraid to rank tornadoes EF5 now.
