i love this reporter - his empathy really comes across, not like other reporters who provoke people with harsh questions trying to squeeze every little awful detail about what they experienced until they cry. this guy asked good questions while remaining respectful of what they just went through - he didn't interrupt and listened to their story without pushing for the gory details. I really appreciate his gentle display of care and empathy. Well done. God bless the restaurant owners and the people in KY.

I was just talking to my friend about that.. I watched one reporter, a woman, ask 2 separate people on 2 different videos, ask the person, are you sure it was a tornado, just like a few hours after they were hit.. UNBELIEVABLE!! It is cringe worthy! 🤔😣😠

Here I was upset that my team was getting blown out but after watching this, it really puts things into perspective. Hope they're able to build back their restaurant.

My Hometown GONE!!!! Breaks my heart. Ate at Carr's Barn as a kid. It was special. So sorry for everyone. It was one of the old places that still stood after all these years.

This reporter needs to start a Reporting School. So many of them have a lot to learn. Kudos to this guy.

WOW -- I used to eat at Carrs Barn every time time I visited Mayfield.. My family members are all gone now, but I enjoyed the food .. These folks know some of my family..

I feel for them, we went through a direct hit from hurricane micheal in 2018. A cat 5. When he said he didn't even know where he was going in a town he grew up in,, brought back memories. God bless you

We do need the old rating system back. The new one depends too much on how well built structures are that were destroyed and they allow that to tell them the wind speed instead of radar readings that show higher wind speeds.

Some houses were blown off their foundations. Whether they were strapped down or not, this is hardly a "middling" storm.

@@shawnnewcomer4879 Unfortunately, the new rating system views a storm where many houses were not strapped down as around an EF-3 or high end EF-4 at the most. How poorly a house was built should not matter more than the wind speeds.

My hometown. Me and my grandfather would go to Carr's in the 60's to eat BBQ or burgers. I have sat on those barstools when I was a kid and teenager.

Those were NOT EF3s with all that widespread obliteration. I say more like a 4 possibly, a 'weak' 5. Not only do they have a massive cleanup ahead but they'll have to deal with the cold and freezing temperatures too.

We are imperfect and live in an imperfect world due to Satan trying to get people to do wrong, but not all things are directly caused by him. Natural disasters are what the Bible calls "time and unforeseen occurrence". As for God, he only allows bad to happen. He is not the cause, but he can help people get the strength and endurance to get through this. He also will resurrect dead loved ones to be with their families and friends again.

This is so sad that man and that woman lost so much that they say it’s gonna take a long long long time to rebuild what has been lost 🙏🏼
