Tornado Aftermath in Mayfield Kentucky 2021

On December 10, 2021, a devastating tornado blew through Western Kentucky killing over 100 people and causing millions of dollars in homes, businesses, practically everything. The devastation was so great the President Joe Biden came to see it first hand. While in Church that Sunday I felt called to serve and go with 40 of my fellow congregants from River's Crossing Community Church to go to the city that was hit the worst, Mayfield Kentucky, and help deliver donated supplies and help with the restoration of one families home.
In this video you will see how horrible the homes and businesses were hit by this tornado. You will also see the President pass by me in his motorcade. Most importantly, you will see God at work through his faithful servants doing his work and shining their own lights for people in a dark place.

What an absolute horrible tragedy. Keeping all affected by the tornadoes in my thoughts and prayers. Seeing much needed supplies arrive is so awesome.I can't imagine what it's like trying to live without water and electricity oh yeah and no shelter either. I want to personally thank you for the help and prayers that you and your church provided after the tornado. I was watching your video this evening. Mayfield was my hometown and my youngest brother and his family still live there. My niece’s family’s home and business were destroyed as they were only blocks from downtown. Thankfully, they were not physically hurt. But please continue to pray for them and the others; it is such a long road to recovery in so many ways. Thank you.
So sad. I was huddled in my basement that night. So scary. A tornado hit within 100 miles east, west and south of my home but we escaped with no damage or injuries in our area. Can't imagine what they are going through. Thoughts and prayers go out to these survivors and all the other communities caught in these devastating storms.
