I just commented something similar on a different video.

She puts every ounce of her soul into each note. She’s a master artist.

This song is a journey. One of my all-time faves of Tori's and I have been a fan since her premiere on MTV in '92 when I first heard my musical soul mate! I could listen to this song everyday day for 10 years and it would still take me to new and strange, mystical places.

25 years later and still sounding as angelic as ever...

I play this every time my mom’s disorder disconnects us. Sometimes I fantasize that the tender poetry will break through the walls her mind retreats to.

This song was one of the very best i've heard from her in a long time; it could easily be part of her 90's masterpieces

I know. It's so beautifully piano-driven like if it belonged to Under the Pink.

Why did I not know about Tori all these years ! I feel cheated and cast aside, and left out in the cold. Everyone need her in their life. Maybe one day I can see her live.

It’s a life changing experience seeing her live.

Her musical accuracy and deliverance is flawless. It's crazy how quickly we all age. I remember meeting her about 20 years ago. This music is so beautiful.

Stellar performance of this most intense and emotionally confrontational masterpiece. I am blessed to live in her lifetime and her art.

2019 and here I am crying like a baby. A special person in my life I gave this song to as a dedication when it was released. Now, I'm using it to heal me. And I've never seen this performance until tonight. Very needed in my life.

Piano, microphone, Tori Amos all melded into one mesmerizing entity.

This song is such a masterpiece, listened to album version hundreds of times on repeat but THIS live performance really nails it too

She wouldn’t sell her soul to satan that’s why she seems under rated. She knows she’s great. Only special people like us get to appreciate her. Smart lady. Tons of respect for her.

Thank you for sharing this! I was fortunate enough to attend her concert at SPAC almost 20 years ago, and the air was charged with the magic of her amazing voice and playing. I'm grateful she is still performing and continuing the magic. 💜🌎💜

Tori's voice has gotten thinner, yes. And that's from extensive touring every 2-3 years... more often in the first half of her career. Things don't get to just stay the same. People get older and sometimes, when you use your gifts as much as Tori has, they begin to weaken. She's still one of the most emotionally sincere and authentic music personalities that's ever been. I know it was just a statement and not meant as offensive - I guess I take issue with "now she just can't," because she damn well *can* - it's just not like it was before. Don't take away from what she's still capable of by always measuring it against the past. Also? Her voice remains for real, and she's to be commended for not relying on tons of digital effects to keep up a facade. It is what it is. And it's still impressive.

​@@feridedogan7653 I don´t think it has to do with age. Many other singers aged and it did not happen to them. I think is more due to overuse of the voice because of extreme touring and some health issues.

I thought her teeth were cute. I always thought she was beautiful before she had them done. Apparently they bothered her. I would change mine if I had enough money to... Cant lie. Im just glad it didnt change her music/voice.

I'm not crazy about the lyrics, I think her writing has gotten weak over the past decade, BUT her composition is as beautiful as ever. Even the simple songs are pretty.

Oddly enough, I feel like Native Invader has some of her best lyrics in years. Reindeer King is probably... not the strongest example, but still. Wildwood, Bang, Breakaway, Benjamin (!), Bats... all of these blow me away to some extent. I mean, seriously, "all I wanna be is the very best machine I can be" by itself is a line that's worth 1000 Original Sinsualities :p

Robert Schrader i don’t agree. To me “You gotta get you back to you” is about getting her mother back since her stroke. To me this is the opposite of placeholder
