Me too..... I love the piano riff from precious things! It's a classic....one of the 1st songs I heard from!

Wow! I have seen her perform this incredible song many times and was simply blown away while watching this. Not sure I can explain, but she seemed to really hold back with the singing and the restraint really made other elements come forth. Incredible. The lighting was spectacular, as was the new drummer. How lucky are we to be alive and experience her. Bursting with excitement for her NYC shows in May.

Thanks for posting! That last clip of T, Jon and Ash altogether made me so happy! I love that I fell in love with T when I was a teenager and everyone was so young back in the day. Now everyone is gray and older, but damnit STILL fucking rocking! I LOVE IT!!!

I was there…her voice is fucked!! I’ve been a huge fan since the 90’s…it was amazing to see her but made so sad that her beautiful voice is damaged 😢 piano skills can’t be matched though…the lady is a demon on the ivories!

*to be said in the voice of Jerri Blank: I’ve got somethin’ to say! Voices age,and the timbre of a voice changes as it ages. She sounds amazing, but I never heard this many people bitch when Joni and Kate were no longer a mezzo soprano.

Joni became a mezzo as she grew older. She started out as a very high soprano, as did Kate. Not sure you understand what a mezzo is. It's the lowest of the female register.

Exactly. Everyone can say how wonderful it was, and I'm glad the audience enjoyed it, and I'm glad for her that she's touring again, but she does not sing the same way. I know we get older and our voices change, but i don't think she's old enough to be losing that power and urgency. It is sad.

I saw her live in Glasgow a few days ago (where she didn't do this song, alas) A girl next to me kept shouting to her boyfriend about how Tori wasn't hitting the high notes in a number of songs... This WAS true. BUT... hey. If you're a singer, your voice changes over time. You can't just wail endlessly like you're 25. Also you have to look after it. Tori has a massive tour ahead and MAYBE she has to make sure her voice still works for all of it.

She's sounding more like Kate Bush as she gets older, minus Kate's uber high notes. Interesting.

How do you mean? The vocal restraint in this performance? I was thinking about it a lot as I watched and the restraint took my breath away, shed new light, new meaning. Her other European dates were postponed, first live show in YEARS, 2 years out of this covid hell, Russia has invaded Ukraine - our collective hearts are shattered. So much emotion, I could feel the vibrations as I watched a video, across the pond. Perhaps she delivered this song to us with new meaning? Our precious things - life, freedom, truth, etc - are so gd precious. The urgency in her playing made me burst into tears several times. This juxtaposed with her vocal presentation was beyond what I could imagine and I have completely reconsidered this song in a new way. The melancholy in her voice was haunting. I have loved her since January 1996 when she performed on SNL. My world was rocked in the best possible way. I am not the same 15 year old I was back then, nor do I expecr her to remain the same. I have had her art to guide and teach me throughout my life and am forever grateful. Especially for the new perspectives I have been able to view the world through as life has carried on - adulthood, marriage, motherhood, and all the mundane things, too. All of my experiences have changed me and I have always been able to come back to my old friends - the songs - and they have taught me something new. What's the point if we aren't constantly learning new lessons? Life beats us down and us fortunate ones age and slow down a bit. As always, I am here with an open heart and will reconsider her beloved songs in their new forms. As well as the artist herself in her new/current form.💖✌🏻

Her voice is shot.

The Wild Tori Washington Amazing and the only one...I think surgery and Other personal problems did not help her voice
