I love how after she messes up she really puts everything she has into the end of the song. She's a true performer!

This is a treasure. Tori has always had an amazing sense of humor and awareness of imperfection. It's why us fans adore her.

She also changed the lyrics: "Thought I knew myself so well, All the dolls I had". To "Thought I knew my words so well, All the doubts I hide." Just because she forgot the lyrics, that is the most beautiful mistake I've seen and heard!

In ancient times, if she were a siren beckoning from jagged rocks and I'm a sea captain, my ship stands no chance.

IMO, Tori can do no wrong. She could sing the phonebook and I'd still be totally in love with her music. Although 'Choirgirl' is my fav album, Venus is close behind as is Scarlet. And I LOVE American Doll Posse. It took me ages to get into "The Beekeeper" but now I love it also. Can't wait for the new album

Even with the mess up in the middle this is definitely the best version I have heard of this song. No funky sounding drum cadence or other instruments taking away from the purity of just her voice and the piano.

Yup. "Boys For Pele" was repackaged after the release of the Prof. Wid remix and left off '..Voodoo' in the place of the remix and swapped 'Hey Jupiter' with the Dakota Version and the original "Talula" with 'The Tornado Mix'.

Regarding her hair I could never picture her any different now..:) Funny thing.

I've got it. I have both versions of BFP. And I have it on vinyl. She never plays the original tho with the 'thought I knew myself' verse. I've never heard it anyway. The boots I've heard from DDI tour don't have it on either.

Actually the lyrics are 'thought I knew mySELF so well', she added the 'words' as an ad lib because she forgot them.

Not too surprising, considering people are mixing so much today. Soon American-Indians/Native-Americans will commonly have blue eyes and blond hair like many Anglos, and many Anglos will have dark brown eyes and hair. I'm dominantly German but have brunette hair and dark hazel/brown eyes (depending on the light).

Na I found out she is of Native American heritage (her mom is)..Neither she nor her mom looks native American..Strange.
