That 16% unsh is just too big of a boost of unsheathe based skills. But for skills like SH (if you have it on your KTN) that P.p on 7th is better. Basically, 7th is for all rounder KTN builds and 6th is for unsheathe heavy builds.

Well, since T5 release, fewer ppl using sh as dmg dealer. The animation just take too much time, and the not as good as zannou/devine. Since that 20% pp can replace dango, i think we can pun a lot unsheathe xtalls on the eq, forget dx, unsheathe better than srd on katana case

The devs probably didn't wanna release yet another op katana since we already have so many in the game. 6th anniv, Modestia, combat knife and the recent neutral DMG katana Speaking of katanas, i think my 2s combat knife is good for either another year or until another broken katana similar to it releases before 8th anniv.

Ow well I forgot how unsheathe is important to katana, maybe because I ditched ktn and no longer ktn main, thanks for the vid Baku

I'm not a ktn main but I think this 7anniv is better on high def boss? Once again I could be wrong, cause someone tested it on vulture and said it was good 😅

Already tested in the video 6th still the best with unsheathe cuz 16% unsheathe but it not like that 7th not good cuz it kinda close

I checked on coryn so no promises but If you put dango on 6th anniv ktn and tappler on 7th anniv , their dmg is almost same. And since tappler is cheaper than dango , guess 7th might be the better choice after all.

Maybe on the 7th anniv katana you use tappler+vlam because it has 20% pp so tappler in weapon will make up for it. And 6th anniv can use dango+vlam because it has unsheathe and it needs pp

In my opinion, output dmg will be balance after aniv7 done. Idk, but i feel...

Yep it's good, bowgun npc stat can compete with player stat but it's have lil bit lower damage output.

The most op ktn aniv is 4th when it release other wep cant compete

Wdym by penalty? Unsheathe is essential for ktn, so thats why its important. But having too much unsh, has a downside, like low dmg coz you have low atk.

My build is focused on the 6th anniv more, that is why I do not use any unsh much on that build. I still prefer it since its almost the same, if not slightly better than 7th. Maybe when i get decent budget, I can build 7th xD

For 7th, I am not sure yet, but based on the stats, player will be better, not sure much on high def tho

Im still using my modestia with d.dango since modestia stats is perfect with my playstyle and i dont care about dmg at all well maybe a little xD =3=

We can make any ktn to 100%piece. That why 7aniver ktn npc not important for me.

I'm still stick to combat knife. Plus you don't mention you use smite every 4th hit of tenryu. Many newbie will confuse why they're damage is different from yours.

Welp yes, ofc anything can be op with thebright stats and eq sets. You have to adjust what is lacking. Anniv 7 is a good ktn. Tho, with how easy to reach high pierce these days, its not that impressive. Also divine doesnt need pierce but more unsh and atk etc. But that is not the point here. The point im trying to say is how the unsh stat is essential. But still, I dont mind it Im enjoying my modestia xD

It's not op if it was op then it would be stronger than than 6th anniv weap that's now an outdated but still extremely good and spot on ktn for mononofu users year old old weapon still out damages the latest to date that is a problem in itself it should be the other way around but in this case it isn't it's Gisuke btw.

7th Anniv ktn has lower dmg than even 6th anniv , asobimo really ruined the anniv ktn. Well i might just slap a dango on my old 6th and start using it

I won't be surprised if this was their way of "nerfing" NPC katanas. I mean, the 5th one was disgustingly overpowered. It had pierce and unsheathe. They probably thought that it's better to tone down the stats a little. Like, You can't have both unsheathe and pierce on a single, easy to obtain katana. That would ruin the game's balance. Like how many people chose to use bow over other builds cuz it's cheap and powerful.

Oki comeback after testing on Maton, result still the same 6th having the slight upper hand. I also ask a friend and yes, high hp iconos has lower def THAN when its 75% 50% hp, but it still have high def because in ulti, its just that it gets harder overtime. Welp i thot 7th has hope xD

7th anniv good for dex>str build

I'm still using 6th npc since because of the unsheathed I'm a bit disappointed on the 7th anniv ktn, yes they added the physical piercing back but they removed unsheathed. The only thing good on 7th anniv ktn is the base watk and the app. But the the greatest anniversary ktn is the 5th anniv since it has unsheathed and physical piercing all at once, perfect for any bosses and mobs.

how about modestia? ugh .. toram is so complicated, i thought modestia is good

Its good, even without modifier its still pretty powerful. The stat is simple, ampr, aspd, and high crit. Good comfort katana to use. Also very versatile too, Good on solos and party fights.
