    Look at the expressions on these Women's faces ...... smirks & the look of "we got away with it". This is nothing but a glorified "Hen's Party", not a Prayer Service. Why don't they simply read from a Chumash ? No, they've got to deliberately do a Vaudeville Act so they antagonise Observant Men who are Davening at the Kotel.

    I am Orthodox. A Jewish mother who is Shomeret Shabbat and Shomeret Hamitzvot. Also a bat Cohain, but who's counting? There are many Orthodox shuls which have Rosh Chodesh women's services. In these women's only groups, there is absolutely no prohibition on a woman carrying a Torah scroll, reading from the Torah scroll or , of course, pronouncing the appropriate blessings. That is all these women are doing. I would prefer if any of the married women participating would cover their hair and wear a skirt ...however that is my personal perspective. I have read from the Torah and chanted Haftorot and it is important to me to be quite modestly covered when davening. The only thing wrong here is the gawking men who are hanging over the Mechitza to listen in and stare or yell. They are breaking numerous prohibitions. Especially that man who actually stormed into the women's section! Shame on him!!

    +Danielchai S I am not one of these women in the video, dear fellow. I have read from the Torah in shul, an Orthodox shul with a Rosh Chodesh all women's minyan. Ordinarily, I daven with a Mechitza and listen to mean reading the Torah. There is no Torah prohibition upon women singing or dancing. Miriam and the other Jewish women sang on the shore of Yam Soof. If this bothers you, then bring a drum or a tambourine next Rosh Chodesh to drown out any lady's voice which might otherwise distract you from your otherwise pure thoughts and prayers. Get some kavanah going on your own side of the Mechitza, put your Tallis over your head, face the Wall (not the women) and daven with all your heart, with all your soul and with all your might. That is the best advice I can give you. Moreover, it's what Hashem commands you to do.

    This is the traditional service of taking out the Torah scroll. The service can be found in a good Siddur or Jewish prayer book. I highly recommend an Artscroll brand Siddur, because their English translation is word for word an accurate translation, not a flowery loose translation as many other Hebrew- English siddurim are.

    Most of the women here are barely singing or participating. LOTS have cellphones out and I'm noticing a very apparent trend from them; overweight, unattractive, and casual clothing.. I'm guessing more then one of those "rabbis" is a lesbian. It's VERY obvious these women aren't here out of respect, they are here to cause trouble. Just look at their faces at 2:48, they look so smug and giddy like school girls disobeying their father. When they do sing it's half-assed and they mumble. Most don't even bother trying to sing, they're too busy filming on their smart phones. You're looking at the faces who will destroy Judaism, because if they can't turn it into a feminist SJW religion then they won't let it exist. These are not Jews, they are social justice warriors trying to destroy Judaism. If they had ANY respect for G-D they would be shitting themselves with fear for the blasphemy they commit on such sacred grounds.

    by the way the high crime rate in South Chicago is because the father is not in the home. it could be 5 women raising a boy but it is not the same in replacing the father's role. Kate Wolf a California folk singer sing a song with the words that there are just some things that needs a man's hands. this is in regards to a neighbor helping to build a road. but the Berkeley fascist the politically correct ones change the words 2 Helping Hand. it is not the same. Dolly Parton and Linda Ronstadt and Emily Lou Harris sing a song about a mother visiting her son in prison. but mother did not bring a pardon. but she brought a precious gift which was a mother's smile. imagine the Berkeley liberal fascist changing the word to a parent Guardian smile. it is not the same. the new age Hippy Hippy apocracy a pot crusty became old. it is so wonderful to be in a Orthodox home with traditional Family Values and family roles

    I've watched this video about 6 times and I still get tears of joy every time the women are passed the Sefer. The joy that they have fills me with joy. For several generations now, women have been fighting in the military, working outside the home, running businesses, going to universities and are doing any job that a man can do. We are no longer barefoot, pregnant and in the kitchen. While we are not mandated to read from the Sefer, we can choose to. And we will not let your backwards thinking from 85 years ago stop us!

    Rachel Selby Not at all. As an atheist, I believe that what they did and are doing is impertinent and disrespectful. The Jewish religion, doesn't allow women to read the Torah, because it's a mans mitzvah. According to the Torah, women got punished because of Eve, to not be able to do as many mitzvot as man. The women of the wall doing this, is the equivalent of putting a cross on the Torah. This isn't a fight against sexism, it's a provocation, and a fight for reform religion.

    Rachel Selby I agree - the emotion and joy on the faces of these women is beautiful to see. How anyone can think they are disrespecting the Torah is beyond me. And "impertinent"? I'm all for that. Some of the most important acts in the history of humanity have been impertinent.

    +Yitzchak Epstein You are an atheist that says "According to the torah, women got punished because of eve?" Does the torah say anything about living off of welfare, popping out kids faster than a soda machine and avoiding army service?

  • @yitzchakepstein2142

    @yitzchakepstein2142

    earthwormjah I know that the Torah says don't seek revenge. The Torah says "פרו ורבו, ומילאו הארץ כדגי הים" meaning, have as many children as possible. The Torah says that Yissachar gets welfare from Zevulun, because he learns Torah all the time, and can't provide for himself. Zevulun gets a bigger reward in the after-life, though. The Torah says that any man too weak to go to war, should stay away from it. It also says that the army is broken into two. One part is physical fighting, with sworda, guns, and what not, and the other side is spiritual fighting, which is learning Torah and praying. You do know that the Ultra-Orthodox aren't the ones who decide what is allowed by the Torah? And they're also not the only ones mad about the "women of the wall", right?

    Adam Sanford Not at all.

    Adam Sanford Umm, I don't think if you've noticed, but Judaism is the oldest religion to survive..... It's older than Buddhism. I don't think you've been around the Charedi community in a long time.... They're not changing, because that's not allowed, but they're adapting to the modern world. I also don't know if you realized, that the state of Israel was created by Charedim. If anything they making Judaism better. Reform Judaism, is taking it and throwing away some of the mitzvot, and changing a bunch of them. Changing religion and throwing some away, *especially Judaism*, is making it not Religious. That's why I see Christians as non-religious, because everything they do is automatically forgiven by some Jewish guy who died. Going the complete opposite of something that ruins, does the exact same. Two extremes *do not* make a moderate, only two extremes... Why does it bother me? Because the Jewish religion, isn't just that, it's also a philosophy, it's an ideal. It's not just about worship, it's about living a good and meaningful life. It's about being good to others, without taking away from your own sake. When you go and change or cancel the constraints that keep you on the right track, you deviate from the road. I believe that everybody needs a way of life, and when you change someones way of life, you are harming him and the way people perceive him.

  • @AdamSanford

    Yitzchak Epstein You've got a stack of assumptions here. I agree with none of them. Religion is not about rules. It's about reconnecting with others who share your faith. Preventing others from living a "good and meaningful life" is not religious - it's just dickheaded. You are aware that the Reform movement was the first of the modern movements of Judaism, right? You are aware that the Haredim are reactionaries, right? And you are aware that the Haredim are a tiny minority of Jews on this planet, right? You're also aware that as an atheist Jew, you'd still be picked up by the Nazis if they were in power today, right? As would I, a Reform Jew? Check your assumptions at the door. You're arguing a position that I find laughable.

    What these women are doing is completely outside the practice of Judaism. For example, everyone saying the blessing over the Torah together, is a clear desecration of Jewish law. They are purposely inciting anger and fights. What the guy is saying when he came to the women's section and was held back was, That is my sefer. I paid for it. I don't know who purchased the Torahs, but I believe they should have a say In its usage.

By claiming that the only source of revenue an orthodox Jewish man could possibly have is welfare, you are engaging in prejudice behavior and eliminating all validity to your claim. This is complex issue and "thinker" raised a couple of points, all of which showed that he or she carefully watched every detail of the video before making a comment. Now weather or not you agree with any of his or her arguments is irrelevant, because engaging in such a childish tactic and make such a broad generalization discredits your claims while not weakening "thenkers."

    jake stern Isn't it ironic that religious people have violently oppressed women, gay, lesbian and transgender folks, other religions, non- believers etc, yet when you criticize their bigotry now the whine about "respect" and act like you hurt their feelings?. I respect people, not ideas. Israel is an amazing, secular, wonderful country and the Orthodox are destroying it and turning it into Saudi Arabia. Your pal thinker said "They are purposely inciting anger and fights," which is an endorsement of violence against women on thinker's part, blaming the victims of violence for doing nothing more than praying while in possession of a vagina. Here is what I say: anyone should be free to pray or express themselves in any public space in Israel, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, etc. Everyone in Israel should have the same access to public assistance, and all adults should serve in the army. Do you disagree?

What makes me sad is that a lot of woman want to prove their equality to man and forget the laws that are specific for woman that any man can do! Like family purity, Tzniut, Chinuch or the children etc.. a child is more precious than anything! We dont need to hold the Torá to show our worth, our worth was never questionable, but than when we started to show equality to man than People start to question What is our place and worth! Ibam proud to be a mother, Teacher, hypnotherapist, observant and tradicional woman, i love to learn the Tora and specialy love to teach other woman, we have full capacity to do so Many things! Is just a waste of time wanting to be equal to man, we are só diferent and special as G-od ceares us! I broke before that it is not man's nature to reach out to other men to pray. this is the beauty this is the wisdom of our religion. what you are doing is to undermine this. we are not all the same. a man shouting out a woman is more threatening then a woman shouting at a man. I have seen these kinds of women in Northern California. they wear t-shirts with the message a woman needs a man like a fish needs a bicycle. I have seen and orthodox families the man washing dishes taking the children to school and this is beautiful

No, a woman "marrying" a woman is NOT the same as a traditional family in my eyes. ( although the Torah only specifically gives death penalty in prohibiting male homosexuality, No, I'm a traditional observant Shomer Shabbat mom. But Orthodox shuls I have attended have all women's Rosh Chodesh services where women layn from the Torah. I have read from the Sefer Torah and chanted Haftorot and felt tremendous connection to Hakadosh Baruch Hu while chanting. I see absolutely no prohibition to women reading Torah to other women. Or singing beyond a Mechitza.

  • @danielchais4603

    @danielchais4603

    Daughter of Jerusalem I see that you did not say those things about driving on Shabbos. My point was that connecting with G-d should not mean disregarding the commandments. I understand one of the issues here could be a fence of the commandments. Can we touch a car on Shabbos, or tree? Thinking that it was commandment, not a fence to not touch the tree of knowledge was a trap. This led to the actual sin. I am glad you see the difference between men and women. It is an abomination regarding men having relations with the same. It might not be an actual mitzvah to have at least ten men daven together, but it is what help keeps the continunity. Women naturally reach out to other women. The christians don't have the concept of the need for 10 men. That is why in the pasta westerns, or the Godfather movies you only see groups of women going to Church, being the religious ones. Is this your thing? Yes, included is the one minister or priest. This takes place while the guys are doing their guy thing. Sure you are going to say men are welcomed. But, because of certain social lackings, it's the need, not just the welcoming for at least 10 men is what sparks men to participate. This is why the need for atleast 10 men is so wise and beautiful for our nation. The concept seems external and artificial. That is because it's not in men's nature. This external concept fortifies us beyond what the Christians have.

    At least from what I've read, the Rabbis teach that women are on a higher spiritual level than men. This being said, the mitzvot for things like reading from the Sefer Torah directly, putting on tzitzit & tefillin, & covering your head with a kippah is unecessary for women to observe since they were created on an elevated level of spirituality. What I mean to say is that for a woman to do all this things is exactly equal as to deny the sovereignty of HaShem in giving these mitzvot to MEN. Does this make a woman kofer? I'll let YOU be the judge, but remember that HaShem Eloheinu, the Kadosh Baruchu is the Judge of those who teach others to forsake the Torah in mischeif.

    Its not the right to pray for all Jews that is an attack on what Judaism is, its that they are in opposition to the Torah’s position that men and women are not equal, and should embrace the different Laws put forth by G-d for men and for women. It is certainly painful to hear that some of the paratroopers who liberated the western wall, marching against the Torah, and lying about the fact that the Torah does not believe in the equality of men and women. Jews of A wide range of obedience to the truths of the Torah liberated the western wall, therefore the position of these paratroopers may not represent the majority of the troopers who liberated the western wall, nor would their authority be absolute on the matter regardless. Today, when the truth of G-ds existence has not revealed itself, we are still faced with the reality of the scientific community of the world disagreeing with the notion of gender equality. Not that we should not fight for G-d, or recognize what Judaism actually teaches. Leftists would not accept that I discriminate against women or arabs but I don’t discriminate based on appearance, intelligence, and hard work therefore I support diversity more than most leftists do and therefore should not be found in violation of the law. So don’t pretend you are guiltless by going to our religious symbols and attempting to impose your leftist beliefs. You are welcome to go to the first kibbutz established in Israel and make A parade in honor of the equality of women, but you have no right to dress up as A transvestite and call yourself A rabbi. Jews are still not allowed to pray at the Temple on the Mount, real discrimination against different Jewish men and women. It is very shameful that this group chose to attack the clearly persecuted Jewish people along side the gentiles of the world who are attempting to undermine the Jewish faith and belief in G-d, in order to weaken the Jewish people for conquest. We have all seen the pictures of the women of the wall wearing yamikas, wearing tefillin, calling themselves rabbis. They do not represent A substantial part of Judaism either that is looking to get closer to the Jewish religion, they are activists who are intentionally trying to provoke, to break down Jewish fortitude in upholding the truth, so they can impose their lies. They may be intentionally provoking to bring Jews closer to realizing the truth over superficial ideas based on A low level of facts and limited access to non leftist media. Regardless for those of us who know Him our obedience must be to G-d, those of lessor conviction can be motivated and fortified by their secular ideals like freedom of speech and the property rights of the Jews who do believe in G-d. Remember that the truth shall be victorious because G-d made it so, regardless of the various popular opinions of the anti ‘real’ G-d that has repeatedly attacked Judaism with different levels of intensity and depth of rejection for thousands of years. King Shlomo established the Satanic mafias. Remember that denial of inequality is the direct source of the suffering of thousands of Jews due to arab and gentile intimidation, violence, insults, malicious actions, and every other possible attack A gentile can inflict upon A Jew. Millions of Jewish men and women have wasted potential and suffered in relationships due to this denial of inequality. To back down to this challenge of women having no Laws that govern their behavior at the western wall, will represent and enable more suffering and punishment for the Jewish people. Oppose this and thank G-d for giving us life even if it is not equal to His glory, and His life. In Him I trust.
