Gotta say this is my favorite fishing channel. No hype or clickbait, just quality content.

Yellow jack, very good eating
i agree with Manny L...100%. keep up the good work. ....and thank you
700th like, not sure why that was so pleasing! Reminds me a lot of the creeks in our UK estuaries, will apply similar tactics..!

I was thinking the same about Poole Harbour and all the little estuaries there.
Right about now don't complain about the fishing in the Keys...it's freaking cold everywhere else in the country!! Even up here in the Panhandle of Fla it's in the mid low 50's and that sux for this time of year!!!😎👍👍
Man I’m jealous, I have snow by my house in NJ and Elias is fishing in shorts...!!

Same weather here in Northern IL. Same jealous feeling. But I just bought a house in Cape Coral Florida. Fishing in shorts in January is in my future.

@@RH-qk5lt dude awesome I’m happy for you!
Purdy slick 👍
Clear water, warm weather ... a great start to the trip. You make tossing to the edge of the mangroves look easy. Crushing the barbs is cheap insurance for feet and hands.
You should come too the west coast of Florida and troll for grouper. While the season is still open 👍
First unidentified jack was a Yellow Jack

When did you go?
Lot's of snow in FL. Very very cold too. Everyone stay home.
Meg,Elias, merry Christmas. God bless you both.
At first I wanted to give you advice about where to go down there, but very quickly you proved you could figure it out. I was great to watch. Fresh cut pin fish make great bait too, and you can catch them in the ell grass on very small hooks with 1/4 inch cubes of your old too chewed up Gulp baits.
Hey Elias, you are truly one of the GREATEST fisherman in the world, I love your videos, Happy Holidays, and God bless you and please continue to put out awesome videos, thanks my brother
That was a nice mangrove in the top water for that skinny water. Get 5 dozen live shrimp and anchor up current of that bridge
Thanks for all the videos Elias. I wish you and yours a healthy, prosperous and fishy 2021!
Merry Christmas! Great place, right?! We stayed in Islamorada a couple years ago...fished the shore with flies and small jigs for jacks, snapper, and barracuda...even had a huge tarpon roll and break me off. Be well...tightest of lines... Frank
That was a Yellow Jack thanks for another great video
A nice variety of fish man. I’m a fellow kayak fisherman, but I fish over here in Germany. Good to see a kayak guy slaying it, gotta start using that net you have behind you though (not trying to be critical)
absolutely great video, per usual. pleasure to watch!!
Merry Christmas Elias!! The Man that never stops bringing us outstanding content!! Merry Christmas to Meg also !!
Merry Christmas and welcome to Florida!
Yellow Jack BEST EATING FISH!! KEEP EM!
Enjoyable fishing my friend I wish you abundant fish🎣🦈
Even with that wind you still did pretty well and had some fun. Nice bonus tarpon too!
Backwater, small Barracuda is surprisingly good eating. Especially fresh fried. Had many fish frys where people were amazed when I told them what they were eating.
I'm in the south but not far enough for shorts, good fishing.
Nothing tops Florida Keys Fishing 🙌 great multi species trip 🤙

Excellent video seeing you put your skills to work in an area your not familiar with.
Merry Christmas man! Love the content.
Man Elias, that looked like fun bro. Tight line's never stop and Merry Christmas!!
Cool video and good job on fishing 🎣
Nice spot for fishing...
Mangroves are great, those grunts are too! You'll definitely find that shrimp tossed around those mangroves will produce very well!!! Cold here in central fl this morning, wish i was down there fishing with you! enjoy, thanks for sharing!!!
Come back to Tampa and teach me how to jig grouper from a kayak lol.
We are heading to marathon tomorrow with the kayak. Hope to see you on the water.
That water is gorgeous. So jealous!
The water…love it
Merry christmas and happy holidays elias ! Great video gotta love top water and cool to see that tarpon also ! Tight lines
Gotta love the Keys!!!
Nice video. I Just came back from a 4 day xmas working vacation. In a word....the keys are not as diverse as I would like. I catch more variety 200 miles north in Sanibel. The wind kicked my ass most days as was the case in Nov when I went. Speaking to a local he says Aug,Sep Oct are the best months.I got some snapper, cudas and jacks. Also a couple snook and jump and spit on a 25 lb tarp.

I agree - the wind here makes the fishing here very very difficult for a small boat angler. The convenient options are more difficult if you don’t have the craft to take it offshore.
I was just in Florida fishing this week. Would love to have met you in person. Thanks for all you do and share. It has made my 2020 better. Hope you had a great trip!
That was a black margate and a yellowjack. Both very good eating, amazing bridge to fish with live bait shot some very nice fish there
Merry Christmas Elias and a Happy New Year!
I know that area well. Fish it frequently!! Great Vid. BTW, treble hooks in a kayak are EVILLLLLLLL!!
Nice job Elias!! Have fun in Florida!
I can see you living in Fla doing the thing man. Awesome vid bro.👍
Loved this vid, the water is so clear you could see the fish way before they hit those top water lures. Keep it up Elias, your content is amazing. Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year.
You’ve come a long way “E”. That’s Beast coast talent 😉👍🏻🎣
Hard to see with the glare but pretty sure that was a yellow jack you threw back and they taste amazing. Very very good sushi fish. I prefer cutting them into shashimi and they aren't far off tuna.
It looks like a yellow Jack those are really tasting
Elias grab yourself a popping cork and some gulp or that Ned rig for those inside ponds,,great work
Flattening the barbs on trebles is a good idea in general. You’ll kill a lot fewer releases that way, especially delicate fish like speckled trout.
It was dark but that could have been a yellow jack. They’re really great eating.
Another great video. This one is a bit out of your usual territory, no? Hope you had a great xmas and wish you all the best in the new year. That 100K can't be far off now.
Good stuff my man. You definitely killed it ..
What you likely hooked under the bridge was a grouper. They tend to hit artificial hard and fast. As soon as they bite they'll dive back into their hole in the structure for cover.
Flipping into mangroves always get snook, snappers, and redfish to crush
Great video
Great video! I'm from Wilmington and will be traveling to this very spot in May to fish!
Florida in winter is all about the wind.
Interesting! I’ve never thought about crimping the barbs on the trebles when catching really toothy critters like barracuda. Great tip!
for a so-called beginner, you did damn good man. I like eating the bridge snapper. they aren't as dark as the backcountry ones.
Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄
hello friend ..I am from Indonesia ...waw ..nice fishing ... 👍👍👍👍
Dang mane nice. Enjoy the rover.
This kind of fishing fun. Océan has great variety; never know what’s gonna hit.
5:26 , looked like a small yellow jack

Yup good lil sashimi fish
nice man Have down there
We call little Northern Pike like those "Hammer Handles" and they flail and are a pain in the ass just like that.
Looks like some fun fishing. You ever consider using power poles for your Yak? Seemed like it would be ideal in those mangroves area....Cheers and Merry Christmas.
Black shades!
When or if you go out on the deep water and reefs you should use your jigs and plastics. I'm curious to see how they do. I'll be living in that general area for about 4 months soon.
i never would have thought to use a NED rig like that. dam now I've gotta try that next time im down in Florida
Them Baccarudas are some gooood eatin!
I love to free line live shrimp under the 7 mile bridge..very productive bait
Your a great fisherman
Used to mate out of Marathon, ive caught some nice tarpon in that spot! Tight lines bro.
Merry Christmas
Mangrove snappers in the mangrove who would have thought lol
Watching this while a historic snow storm bears down on Colorado this weekend haha. But there is light at the end of the tunnel. I move to Florida in about 3 weeks from now! Be in the water in shorts soon haha.
Nice... Comment for the the algorithm ,
Grouper hookup at 5:33. lol
Love to fish that place lots of yellow yak and muttons running around tons of nice snappers too
Damn, that grover looked delicious as he swam away!!
The water is so beautiful and crystal clear
7:51 he said we googin
Been on the skinner I see
Dude meet up with skinner and do a yak collaboration while you’re down there! Happy holidays Elias and tight lines all winter!

Yep, that would be really good.
Promise kept. That is some very clear water (but I speak from a Boston Harbor, Plum Island, NYC point of view).
Great video and editing. When I retire.................
That was a yellow jack. Super good to eat.
Find a deeper mangrove line and use small pinfish and chunks. Should be able to get a limit of mangroves.
Big Pine Fishing Lodge ? I was there over thanks giving 😬👍🏼
Желаю Всем огромного здоровья и успехов в рыбалке и охоте!
BTW Blue runners are delicious, filleted raw on the deck of a kayak, the ocean is the dipping sauce.
My dude E take me fishing with you
Sooooo coool
Locals consider yellow jack the best tasting fish down there and there’s no regulations on them for keeping
Will you be stopping by the Tampa/Saint Pete area on the way back to N.C.?
