Sorry, this is a plug for Environment which gives autodesk an excuse for providing a half complete product. We pay millions to Autodesk for their software which is then incomplete and required the purchase of third party plug ins and add ins to complete the package.

I believe Revit will definitely look into its function and slowly implement it as well. No business would like another business leeching off their potential income. Im sure we will see those functions available on ENVIRONMENT on Revit in the years to come! :D

If its so expensive and incomplete, why are you using it?

@@eoghanharris Screw you, I need to use a plugin for sketchup that only costs 18 dollars a year to make those things and them import it to revit because they don't have such a simple thing.

Thank you. I have had trouble with the Toposolid needing to be associated with a level. I assume you need to create another level outside of the floor and ceiling?

We are having the same problem and were thinking of the same solution! Surely there is another way around this. I dont want it to be associated with a level. It should just be associated with the survey levels. Please let me know if you find a solution

I'm having so much problem with split tool. Could you do an in-depth video discussing split along with subdivision? specifically with its constraints and limitations. I am modelling a 3-hectare site in Revit and modifying toposolids is just such a pain, encountering so many errors along the way. I guess it has something to do with vertices, but I really don't know. Thank you in advance!

Yea, but the grated region only counts the cut and fill-in of earth if you are working in a freestyle green floor like you are going now. But when you use in a real combat situaton that we need sharp edges to do the sidewalk, street, etc we need to cut the toposolid in smaller pieces and when we do it each individual part of the cut do not recognize the existence of the others, so they think everything else is a big cut the the mathematic goes all wrong. Unless if you found a magic way to do it. If you found please do a video, like the ones that you do sidewalk, streets, etc, but add this cut and fill-in earth method together, i am really really curious to see how do deal with that, because i already broke my mind infinite hours and could not reach a final conclusion.

Hey there, thank you for another useful video! I played a bit with revit 2025 too, but they still haven't fixed the profile lines of toposolid... Elevation views, section or 3D don't show the outline or profile lines of the topography... So dissapointed.

Have you tried adjusting the settings in visibility/graphics? Pretty sure this works if you enable toposolids in VG and set the view depth appropriately for your view or section

@@seanloewen Have definitely tried. That's why I reach out on youtube. You know what i mean right? Not the outline of their boundary, but the profile of their "inside" shape (e.g. hills, crevices), so that it is recognisable and looks good on technical elevations and isometric views from slight angles. I think the problem lies in he fact that they are essentially floors, and floors that have their surface edited with sub-elements don't show their profile lines. Sorry if it is not clear what I am talking about, images would help, however here we can't post or link them.

Waste of time. Nothing but a push to your site. You used to create decent videos that taught something, but now you create teasers just to direct traffic to your site or your sponsors. Tsk, Tsk!
