I have been watching your videos for awhile and I appreciate you taking the time to show people our city. I'd like to point out that a lot of the places you point out as being "bad" or "horrible" are the result of out of state landlords who do not maintain their properties and are looking for a quick buck. I actually live in the neighborhood just west of the events center and east of the university and you'd be surprised how beautiful some of these homes are and the quality of people who live in it. Our city could definitely improve and I'm happy to say that there are many people working to do just that. If you're interested and not already doing so, you should attend a city council meeting and voice your concerns- you could help make a real impact. Again, thanks for taking the time to make these!

Thanks for your input unfortunately we have had some weird experiences near the gas station across from the events center. Definitely the rentals not being managed properly by landlords or property managers create issues. I appreciate what Topeka has to offer and I try to go with the flow but sometimes people just don’t either care or care to know. It’s a mixed bag. Thx for watching.

Unfortunately without big businesses moving in to drive the economy all those service jobs won’t help much. I come from Plano TX one of the most highly rated cities in Texas. Low crime alot of big corporate offices with well paying jobs and need I say more - a lot of republicans live there. So I am not sure what backward republicans you are referring to.
