I have had mine at work for a few months now and find it amazing! My complaint is its not good for Australian Holdens, and not that I really care, LDV and Chinese cars. Otherwise, for most of my mechanical requirements its a really cool thing. (I have the lite version)

can it do immo keys/fobs? does it work on European cars? does it have topology?

Immo yes but you need to buy another contraption. Euro cars yes but not all, so best to check the topdon compatibility checker. Does not show topology, that would have been a useful feature . Make sure to subscribe to my KZread Channel for free if you haven't already to show your support.

Where do you get the pro? I’ve looked and can only find the lite. I want the more options. 🤔

This is a subscription based service, so lite comes with the original purchase, and pro needs to be purchased. It is a yearly service

Does it have a life time updates or subscription.

What's the secret to getting it to work? It's not user friendly at all and I can't get it to do anything using Topscan. On my Toyota all it does is go to a blank Diagnostic screen that I can't get out of unless I exit the program then it won't reconnect! Seems very buggy plus you have to create an account and login to use the stupid thing!

Hi there , what make and model of phone do you have ? Mine was a S22 Ultra. Did you make sure VCI is connected? You have to see those 3 lights on the dongle as mentioned in the video. I would say in terms of user friendliness if the operator of the device is not mechanically minded it can be a bit tricky , but for me I found it fairly easy as I work on cars. Hope this helps.

I have seen somewhere that to use you have to give permissions to ALL areas of your phone ,, is this true ? and why if is

Hi, I belive it is for Galary and location . You can find this off the play store it will advsie what permissions are needed .

For tracking you of course. I have the ThinkDiag and it won't let me do anything without turning on my location. What the hell does it need my location? Has nothing to do with function at all......TRACKING

@@DocMackGarage That's beside the point. Who downloads an app before they purchase an item? My other three diagnostic tools don't require it and they all use Bluetooth to connect. Why should this be any different? Location isn't needed to connect to Bluetooth.

Well, this tool continue to work when the subscription has expired?

It is a subscription based tool . You need to have a sub for it to work.

It might work for a day or so but as soon as it needs the individual car model updated which is quite often it won’t work unless you pay

That is correct that is what I was referring to by Bidirectional. Active tests is available once you go into a module
